Situated in the grounds of the historic Plas Dinas Country House, home of the Armstrong-Jones family, this delightful lodge makes an ideal base for exploring Snowdonia. Anthony Armstrong-Jones (Lord Snowdon) married HRH Princess Margaret in 1960 and the investiture at Caernarfon Castle of the Prince of Wales was organised by Lord Snowdon from Plas Dinas whilst the Lodge itself was occupied by armed guards. There are 15 acres of grounds with the Country House which guests are welcome to wander through, you may also use the licensed bar or have a delicious cooked breakfast or evening meal in the main house (extra cost) should you wish. The village pub is a 5 minute walk away and serves meals. There are numerous attractions in the area including Portmeirion Village, Caernarfon, Harlech & Penrhyn Castles, Slate works, Welsh Highland & Snowdon Mountain Railways, Swallow Falls, Bodnant Garden and the Welsh Mountain Zoo.
