This very comfortable cottage is situated in a quiet residential area just 400 metres from the historic town centre of Welshpool. Powis Castle and formal garden is within walking distance and well worth a visit. There are some excellent walks to be taken along the Montgomery Canal, Offa's Dyke and the 135 miles of Glyndwr's Way. Welshpool has a good selection of shops, eateries and pubs to suit all tastes. Shrewsbury is just 20 miles away and makes a good day trip. This property is very comfortable and spacious with tasteful furnishings throughout. It makes an ideal base for two people with the option for 4 as there is a sofa bed for occasional use.

Entrance is into the open-plan kitchen, sitting and dining room with an attractive mullion fireplace and reclaimed oak flooring. The room looks over the very attractive garden with lovely weeping willow tree and orchard. The sitting area has a comfortable sofa (which can convert to a double bed), armchairs, attractive rug, flat screen TV and DVD player. The kitchen area has a range of cream Shaker style units incorporating an electric oven and gas hob, microwave oven, dishwasher, fridge with freezer compartment and an automatic washing machine. The dining area has a solid wood dining table and 4 chairs. The garden/sun room has lovely views of the garden and a door to the patio area. It has a ceramic tiled floor and is furnished with a cane three piece suite and a glass topped wrought iron table. The bedroom has an oak floor and is furnished with two 3' beds (can be pushed together if required), an antique pine wardrobe, chest of drawers and bedside table. The en-suite wet room has an attractive French mosaic tiled floor and is fitted with a shower, WC and wash hand basin. Fresh bedlinen and towels are provided. There is no baby equipment available; you may bring your own. Sorry, no pets. No smoking in the cottage. There is full gas fired central heating at the property, this is included in the rental. There is ample parking for two cars beside the cottage. The delightful orchard garden has apple trees, a decked area with seating underneath the large weeping willow, a patio with a garden table and chairs and a large lawned area.
