Little Haven no longer boasts a village baker, however it does have an excellent choice of eating places and pubs all within a few minutes walk. The Coastal Path is just three miles away and offers over 186 miles of stunning scenery and walking.
Close to Solva and St Davids, the coastline along this stretch of the National Park is quite stunning and the coastal bus service for walkers can be caught just 2 minutes walk from the cottage. The harbour village of Solva has several pubs, restaurants and individual shops. St. Davids with its magnificent Cathedral is famous for being the smallest city in Wales. A day trip to one of the bird islands of Ramsey, Skomer or Skokholm is well worth the effort and at the right time of the year you can see literally thousands of puffins and shearwaters off Skomer.

If you prefer something a little quieter, then the walled Tyglyn Gardens are a 10 minute walk from the cottage. There is a hotel with a restaurant and bar within half a mile. The nearby towns of New Quay (an old haunt of Dylan Thomas), Lampeter and Aberystwyth are well worth a visit as are the numerous unspoilt beaches and coves along the Ceredigion Heritage Coastline.

The Dovecote is an idyllic romantic round tower hideaway for two situated in the beautiful Lower Wye Valley in the border county of the Welsh Marches. Offa's Dyke follows the River Wye below the Dovecote and the old railway line with its bridge at The Boat Inn (10 minutes walk and serves a selection of guest ales and great pub food) offers excellent walking. The cottage is one of the last on the former Duke of Beaufort's Estate and within a few minutes of the site where in 1404 Owain Glyndwr won the battle of Craig y Dorth against Henry IV's English army. This tower is a real "find" and not to be missed.
Three newly converted barns situated on a working farm at the foot of the Cambrian Mountains, in the heart of Ceredigion and close to Tregaron a small Welsh-speaking town. Bordering the farm is the world famous Tregaron Raised Bog known as Gors Coch Caron which runs to 3000 acres and is renowned for its ornithological delights with the famous red kite being a local resident in the surrounding hills.
Situated just outside Crymych and close to the Preseli Hills in Pembrokeshire, this cosy stone cottage for two (formerly part of the stable block for this 12 acre holding) makes a lovely retreat. A footpath leads across the farmland to the Frenni Fawr, the northern-most hill in the Preseli range. Crymych is at the heart of this Welsh speaking community and the locals offer a warm welcome. Narberth is just a few miles away and has an excellent selection of very individual shops, cafes and galleries. Newport and Poppit Sands are both about 20 minutes drive.
This delightful retreat for two is situated in the village of Llanarth with views of the church from the back garden. Llanarth is between the seaside towns of New Quay (2 miles) where you can see the resident dolphins or take a boat trip, and Aberaeron (4 miles) with its pretty harbour and colourful Georgian houses. There is a pub and village shop within walking distance. Ceredigion offers plenty for visitors to see and do throughout the year.
This very comfortable cottage is situated in a quiet residential area just 400 metres from the historic town centre of Welshpool. Powis Castle and formal garden is within walking distance and well worth a visit. There are some excellent walks to be taken along the Montgomery Canal, Offa's Dyke and the 135 miles of Glyndwr's Way. Welshpool has a good selection of shops, eateries and pubs to suit all tastes. Shrewsbury is just 20 miles away and makes a good day trip. This property is very comfortable and spacious with tasteful furnishings throughout. It makes an ideal base for two people with the option for 4 as there is a sofa bed for occasional use.
This perfect hide away, is a detached lime washed cottage in an idyllic setting at the head of the Gwaun Valley, with lovely views of Carn Ingli Mountain. There are over 3 acres of grounds for you to wander, to enjoy the scenery and wildlife which includes foxes, badgers, pond life and birds - 49 species have been spotted so far! There are some superb walks either up and around Carn Ingli Mountain or down the beautiful Gwaun Valley.
