“I have booked Trysor Y Mor for the past 6 years.”

Firstly on my own and then with my new husband. The house is exactly as described with fantastic views of the beach and sea. Nothing is too much for the owners and they have thought about and supplied everything to ensure your comfort is catered for. The house is very clean, and is plenty big enough for 6 guests. I highly recommend this property and I adore Borth, which is highly understated. You are guaranteed a great welcome from the locals and holiday makers alike.

We were welcomed by the owner Philip Watkins! The house is lovely and homely and all near local amenities. Definitely recommend staying here the sea views are breathtaking and only a stones throw away! For the future it would be great to have a downstairs toilet installed, especially when there is a family of 6 other then that it’s a wonderful place to stay!

Thank you to Phil for making me feel so welcome. The house is bright and cosy, with a beautiful view (I spent most of my week looking out to sea from the upstairs balcony and watching people go by via the huge downstairs bay window). The house is very conveniently located, just four houses away from the large village shop. There is plenty of parking opposite. Inside everything was immaculate. Even though I only live fifteen miles away from Borth and I rented Trysor Y Mor to get away from some major building work at home, I am hoping to come back for another stay in this chilled out house.

“Second stay at this great property.”

We liked it so much last summer, that we came back again this summer. The location cannot be beaten - right on the beach with amazing views out to sea from the sitting room and balcony. Great local walks, both along the beach and up and along the cliff path. As well as easy access to other areas in Wales by car, or from the local train station if you don’t feel like driving or don’t have a car with you. Although we went to Borth beach most days, we explored a little more this year and went out by train. House is comfortable and clean, Phil and Anne are very welcoming - there if you need them, but leave you to it if you don’t. Highly recommend this property, it’s my favourite property from all that we have booked with Sykes over the last 15 years or so.

“We had a great stay, the cottage was clean and had everything we needed and more!”

The views were amazing and are definitely something that I will miss, my husband did quite a bit of fishing so it was perfect for him as he only had to walk over the road. The hosts were very welcoming and greeted us on arrival to show us around the property and give us the opportunity to ask any questions. We felt very at home and were sad to leave when our stay was over, Borth is a perfect base as it is very central to many other places. One pub in particular I would recommend would be Y Ffarmers, the food was fantastic and has a very good atmosphere. We will definitely be visiting again and recommending to our friends, hope to be back soon!!

“Great property.”

The location was fantastic - overlooking the beach, so easy with children to head out to the beach, pop back to the house for lunch and then go back out to the beach again. Also useful being so close if the weather turned, could just quickly pop back. Having the sitting room upstairs with a balcony, meant that you got the most amazing view of the sunset, we also spent time watching the wind and kite surfers daily. The location was a good base if you wanted to explore further but had plenty close by, if you didn’t feel like travelling too far. House was well equipped and owner made us feel very welcome. Brilliant house for families with children - was comfortable and clean, but not pristine. Which meant that I was able to relax without worrying that the children were tracking sand in from the beach to a ‘perfect’ house. We had a great holiday and liked the house and location so much, that we’re going to book again for next summer.

The location of the cottage couldn’t be better, across from the beach, uninterrupted views. I was worried it might be a bit noisy at night but it was fine. The cottage was very clean and well equipped. Very good powerful shower. Good sized bedrooms. The owner was very nice. We swam in the sea every day, buy beach shoes, a number of people were stung by weever fish. We would happily stay here again.

I'm not so sure we would like it in full season as we're both nearly 80! For us it has the added advantage of being close to family. Phil is very helpful.

The views and house were amazing and feel totally relaxed after our break. The house is lovely and clean. The view from living room out of this world and added bonus of balcony to enjoy drinks at night whilst looking out to sea. The beach is 20 steps from house and spent most of our days on it, some nights still on there until 9pm watching the sunset! We have been holidaying in borth for many years and have to say this is the best holiday house we have stayed in. Everything you could need is there and more. Phil and Anne are fab hosts. “This was the first visit to Wales for half of our party and Trysor y Mor could not have been a more perfect base for us.”

Mid April meant we had all seasons in one week, but that didn’t stop us. Coming back to our townhouse every evening and the views it afforded was pure heaven. Ending our week with a very warm 3km walk along Borth promenade was the icing on the cake, and bearing witness to Borth’s famous sunsets was the cherry on that icing!! Previous reviews about the lack of WiFi are either old or unfounded; we had at least three people using it simultaneously without issue. If I were to pick up on any ‘bad’ points; the heating and hot water seemed to have minds of their own and the kitchen area was quite chilly of an evening, but that’s just being a bit picky. If there could be any improvement to the property, perhaps a downstairs loo / shower room in the ‘dead space’ under the stairs. That said, we had the BEST week exploring mid Wales and Philip & Anne could not have been more friendly hosts. Thanks you so much for a stunning introduction to Wales!!

The village is small but long and the high street very flat, ideal for a nice leisurely stroll. The locals were friendly and helpful from the moment of stepping off the train to the time we regretfully boarded the train home. The public transport is comfortable and reliable.

In the evenings we saw; seals, lots of birds, people sailing, canoeing, surfing, children playing in the surf and fantastic sunsets. The Owners are lovely hosts. Borth is a little village with a great feel, everyone was very friendly. There is a pebble beach in Borth which is good for rock pooling but go just along to the next bay and you are in the Dovey Estuary with a sand beach and dunes.

Trysor Y Mor is a charming mid-terrace cottage set in a wonderful location just moments from Borth Beach.

With three bedrooms including one ground floor king-size double plus two first floor twins, this cottae can sleep six peple The rest of the accommodation includes a first floor bathroom, a ground floor kitchen with dining area and a first floor sitting room.

Outside is a rear, raised decked garden with furniture boasting countryside views, and from the sitting room is a balcony with wonderful, far-reaching sights across the sea.

BORTH

Aberystwyth 5 miles; Machynlleth 14.5 miles.

Borth is a village seaside resort set on a stretch of a spectacular coastal path, overlooking Cardigan Bay. At low tide there are 3 miles of sands stretching to Ynyslas Beach, which boasts vast sand dunes and the home of the Dyfi National Nature Reserve. Borth offers shops, pubs, a golf course, a restaurant and a cinema - all great fun for the family whatever the weather. This whole coastline is renowned for its watersports especially wind, sand and ordinary surfing, as well as wonderful coastal walks where you can enjoy spotting sea birds and seals.
