The property

School House is a characterful cottage placed just outside of the lovely Powys market town of Builth Wells.

Surrounded by marvellous outdoor opportunities and stunning scenery, this is a fine spot to bring together your loved ones for a break in Mid Wales.

When you're not out exploring this wonderful region, put your feet up in the warming, traditional-style living areas on the ground floor.

The sitting room comes with snug leather seating for the group to relax on, while the period kitchen/diner benefits from a quieter sitting area including a stunning woodburning stove for the chillier evenings.

Enjoy your meals around the rustic, wooden dining table after a delicious meal has been prepared in the charming kitchen, amply appointed and lined with fresh cream-coloured units for a pleasant effect.

Head upstairs to discover three comfortable bedrooms, two of which provide flexible zip/link beds for adaptable accommodation, with the other hosting a single bed perfect for a child or an extra guest.

The bedrooms share access to a delightful shower room.

In the summer months, take a seat in the enclosed garden with an ice cold drink and a BBQ on the go.

The property boarders the Royal Welsh showground which hosts events throughout the year, it is a picturesque location which allows easy access to so many local attractions.

There is even handy lockable storage for your bikes to be kept.

Lovely Builth Wells can be reached by foot, this market town benefits from a choice of fine spots to enjoy a tasty meal or a relaxing drink, you can also enjoy the challenging 18-hole golf course.

This is a superb location for making the most of the activities available in the area, idyllic walking and cycling can be enjoyed throughout the Bannau Brycheiniog National Park (Brecon Beacons) which sits within easy reach.

Slightly further afield are the gorgeous Shropshire Hills AONB, here you can also find the fabulous towns of Knighton, Bishop's Castle and more.

The market town of Builth Wells (Welsh spelling: Llanfair-ym-Muallt) is located in beautiful, unspoilt countryside and makes an interesting base for a Mid-Wales break. Home to interesting craft stores and many collectors’ fairs, this is also the ideal location for walking, pony trekking and mountain biking. The town offers a challenging 18 hole golf course, a sports centre, and the Wyeside Arts Centre, which includes a cinema as well as many live shows. Across the River Wye lies the Royal Welsh Showground, home to the famous Royal Welsh Show, which brings an explosion of colour to the town every July, along with many other events taking place throughout the year.
