The property

A luxurious and spacious farmhouse that has been lovingly re-built to provide three comfortable bedrooms and family bathroom.

There is a stylish kitchen with breakfast area, leading into a comfortable sitting room with dining area, where you can sit and relax with views across the river valley or curl up in front of the cosy woodburner.

There is a ground floor shower room, perfect before you slide into the enticing hot tub and relax whilst enjoying the views.

The riverside garden with gated access onto the riverbank, boasts views up across the river to the far side of the Rheidol Valley, and is an idea place to unwind as the sun goes down after a fun-filled day at the beach or enjoying the fabulous Cambrian Mountains.

Capel Bangor 2.3 miles. A pair of luxurious, detached cottages on the bank of the River Rheidol, close to the village of Capel Bangor and a short drive from the popular University and Victorian seaside town of Aberystwyth. These cottages are both beautifully designed in a modern style and are a perfect retreat for families or friends looking to relax in a stylish and spacious cottage, enjoy the riverside with fishing rights and stunning local countryside, yet being close to a busy town and sandy beaches. Both properties have been lovingly and stylishly re-built to provide comfortable, luxurious and modern accommodation. Light and airy living areas with woodburners and fabulous valley views opening out onto riverside gardens where you can relax in your private hot tub and soak up the valley views. The River Rheidol runs through the valley, which opens up fabulous river walking and a popular cycling route to the series of lakes and dams, which are popular for fishing. You are ideally placed to explore the beautiful Cambrian Mountain countryside with Nant yr Arian, its fabulous circular walks and the daily feeding spectacle of the majestic Red Kites around the lake. Nearby, is the Silver Mountain Experience, a mix of original heritage buildings and mystical adventures. Rheidol Butterfly House, a perfect summer trip is also within easy reach. There are a fabulous selection of activities in the area, with fishing in the valley, local cycle paths and great walking opportunities, a local golf course and horse riding. Aberystwyth's sweeping Victorian promenade is a delightful spot and where you can look at the flocks of starlings passing by. Alternatively, take a trip up Constitution Hill on the funicular Railway. Why not take a ride on the heritage Rheidol Railway from Aberystwyth to Devils Bridge, spectacular waterfalls steeped in local legend? Slightly further afield, you will find the undulating sand dunes of Borth, a popular beachside resort and home to an ancient submerged forest which can be seen at low tide. Adjacent to the nature reserve of Ynyslas or the RSPB nature reserve, is Ynys-hir, which is a fabulous mix of woodland, salt marsh and wet grasslands all rich in wildlife. Whatever your plans, there is lots to do in this beautiful part of the country.

Capel Bangor, where you will find a shop and award-winning pubs serving excellent food, is a scattered hamlet set along the A44, just 5 miles from Aberystwyth. A popular seaside town, Aberystwyth offers a wide selection of shops, pubs, tea rooms, restaurants and wonderful sea views from the promenade. The town's Cliff Railway is the longest electric cliff railway in Britain, and the panoramic views on the journey are spectacular. A wonderful day can be spent at the visitors’ centre by the Rheidol reservoir, which is part of the largest hydro-electric scheme in Wales, alternatively, catch some trout or spend the most delightful time in the Butterfly House with its exotic plants and butterflies. This wonderful part of West Wales has everything - countryside walks, sandy beaches, a Narrow Gauge Steam Railway, museums, castles and plenty of Welsh folklore to make this the perfect holiday base any time of year.
