    Peace and quiet and lovely views were all we needed for a relaxing break. Cottage was great it had all we needed and was very clean. we will probably return for a third time in the future

The property

Nestled in the stunning, remote countryside village of Caersws in Wales, is this superb detached cottage.

Caesamson offers a truly remote cottage, with magnificent views of the rolling countryside hills and farming fields.

Stepping through the front door, you are greeted to a wonderfully appointed utility area, with a well-equipped kitchen, showcasing a lovely fitted wooden units andworktops.

Step through to the open-plan living space offering a large dining room for six people to enjoy a delicious home-cooked meal, or plan the day's events.

The lounge has a range of seating for you to curl up with your loved ones and bask in the warmth emanating from the woodburning stove, while you catch up on your favourite shows.

The conservatory can be accessed via the sitting room and is the perfect spot for enjoying a hearty breakfast, while watching the sunrise over the stunning countryside hills and fields.

A shower room completes the ground floor.

The first floor has two bedrooms: a king-size with an en-suite bathroom and a twin with zip and link features with an en-suite bathroom, so whatever your group type, this property will have something to accommodate you.

Take a tour of this delightful countryside area, with plenty of pathways for walking and cycling.

Venture into the centre of Caersws village for access to the local pub and restaurant for some fine Welsh food.

Situated in mid-Wales, you have easy access to a range of activities, including history and heritage sites such as Powis Castle, built circa 1200.

Once the medieval fortress of the Welsh Princes of Powys and boasting famous landscaped gardens showing influences from Italy and France.

Venture towards the historic market town of Montgomery which boats lovely cobbled streets, with many of its buildings being of Georgian and Victorian architecture, and offering so many historical sites that are a must-see during your holiday.

Return to Caesamson for a relaxing evening with your loved ones in front of the fire.

Newtown 6 miles.

The village of Caersws is a convenient base for exploring Mid Wales. Situated on the River Severn, the village offers a railway station, church and shop, pubs, butchers and a Post Office. Just six miles away is the market town of Newtown, where you will find a number of shops, pubs, museums and an art gallery. This scenic part of Mid Wales boasts many outdoor activities too, including walking, cycling and fishing along with a nearby clay pigeon shooting centre (of international repute) and a rally centre run by championship rally drivers. If you prefer a spot of history whilst staying in the area, the ruins of the ancient Motte and Bailey castles situated close by in the beautiful old county town of Montgomery, or the ruins of Dolforwyn castle in the hills above the village of Abermule are well worth visiting. Visit the world-famous Powis Castle and Garden, often frequented by Prince Charles, or Aberdovey on the stunning Cardigan Bay coastline, a paradise for watersport enthusiasts, is within an hour’s drive. An excellent place to stay, whatever your interests.
