From the moment we arrived, we knew we had found a gem. The lodge is set in a stunning and secluded location, overlooking a beautiful small lake, surrounded by the breathtaking Welsh countryside. The scenery is simply spectacular, making it the perfect place to relax and unwind. The lodge itself was modern, immaculately clean, and beautifully decorated, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Even though we stayed during a particularly cold spell in February, the lodge was incredibly warm and cosy, providing the perfect retreat from the chilly weather. It was fully equipped with everything we could possibly need, including a smart TV, a hot tub, and high-speed internet. The internet was particularly helpful as we had no mobile reception with Vodafone, so having a reliable connection made a big difference. Our host, Steve, was exceptional. From the moment we arrived, he made sure we felt welcome and at home. He took the time to walk us through everything, showing us how everything worked and making sure we had everything we needed. He was incredibly friendly, accommodating, and clearly takes great pride in ensuring his guests have the best experience possible. A special touch was the lovely welcome basket he left for us, filled with snacks and a bottle of wine – such a thoughtful and much-appreciated gesture! Unfortunately, due to the cold weather, we couldn’t explore the surrounding area as much as we would have liked, but that didn’t take away from our experience. Sitting inside, warm and cosy, watching the stunning scenery through the large glass panels with a hot cup of tea was an experience in itself. This is, without a doubt, one of the best holiday lets we’ve ever stayed in, and we will definitely be returning! If you’re looking for a peaceful, picturesque escape with top-notch facilities and a fantastic host, this is the place to be. Highly recommended!
