Offering lovely, contemporary and stylish accommodation, surrounded by the Berwyn Mountains, and boasting stunning riverside views, this cabin provides an ideal base for a couple seeking that romantic, get-away-from-it-all break.

It's so tranquil here, you can enjoy the sound of the river running past, and take in the stunning views from the paved patio, while dining alfresco or simply relax with a glass of something on the lawned area which overlooks the River Tanat, after a busy day exploring.

This lovely cottage offers open plan accommodation and boasts a large picture window overlooking the patio and river with a comfortable en-suite double bedroom.

Only an hour from the magnificent beaches of the Cambrian Coast, and a short distance from the start of the Snowdonia National Park, this pretty cottage is an ideal base.

There is plenty of walking, cycling, fishing and watersports in the region to enjoy if you are the more active person, alternatively you can simply unwind by the riverside and potter around the lovely local area.

The cottage is also within easy reach of the fabulous Pistyll Rhaeadr waterfall and Lake Vyrnwy.

About the location

LLANGYNOG

Bala 13.2 miles; Shrewsbury 32.4 miles

The pleasant village of Llangynog lies in breathtaking countryside amidst the beautiful Berwyn Mountains and surrounding wooded hills and valleys. The area has a history of lead, silver and slate mining dating back to the 17th Century but today it is a renowned location for climbing, birdwatching, walking and cycling, with famous mountain bike trails near Dolgellau, and a mountain bike centre at Llandegla. Llangynog boasts two pubs, both of which serve good food and are perfect to relax in after an exciting day out, plus on the outskirts of the village is a down hill mountain bike centre. There is also an off road motorbike experience, which is set on a 1500 acre site further up the valley which needs to be booked in advance. Enjoy Lake Bala, a wonderful beauty spot, with excellent fishing, a variety of water sports including white water rafting and a lakeside steam railway, or visit Lake Vyrnwy, which has an RSPB centre, bike hire and a sculpture park. Also within easy reach is Llanrhaeadr Waterfall, the tallest single drop waterfall in England and Wales. This is a beautiful part of the country and is perfect for touring the rest of North and Mid Wales and even Shropshire.
