Toast to a wonderful getaway over a bottle of fizz, or step outside into the enclosed garden so you can bask in your surroundings a little longer.

Freshen up with use of the stylish ground-floor bathroom and wind down with an indulgent soak before retreating upstairs to one of three neatly-presented bedrooms including two doubles and a single, each hosting plenty of storage for your belongings.

In the morning, kickstart your itinerary along the coast where Burry Port Lighthouse, Burry Port Beach West and Pembrey Harbour all reside, before sampling a great variety of pubs, restaurants, and shops nearby.

Travel towards the Brecon Beacons National Park, ensuring to stop off at the National Botanic Garden of Wales and the impressive Castell Carreg Cennen for a taste of local history.

Within the National Park itself, embark on one of several walking, hiking, and cycling trails, try your hand at a range of watersports at Usk Reservoir or test your stamina with a challenging hike up Pen y Fan.

Burry Port is perfectly located on the beautiful South West Wales coastline and has a selection of shops, a Post Office, several pubs and restaurants. The golf club is renowned for offering all year round sport, no matter what the weather throws at you, and the sandy beach is equally delightful on hot summer, or wild stormy winter days. The harbour is a hive of activity, where you can sit and watch the fishermen return to shore with their fish laden boats. The Millennium Coastal Park with its 22kms of off road cycletrack runs along this beautiful coastline, allowing walkers and cyclists alike to discover one of the most scenic routes in Wales. For the shoppers in your party, Carmarthen is a vibrant shopping centre, with lots of main chain stores plus small, unique Welsh gift shops, lovely restaurants, tea rooms, pubs, a bowling alley and a cinema for film buffs. Llanelli offers a great range of out of town shopping, a modern cinema, a theatre and a leisure centre, as well as a Nicklaus-designed modern links golf course. For horse racing fans, the Ffos Las racecourse is open all year with many meetings and is fast becoming the best new racecourse in the UK. Motor enthusiasts can enjoy an extensive calendar of events at the nearby Pembrey Motor Sports Centre, whilst nature lovers will adore the National Wetlands Centre Wales at the eastern end of the Millennium Coastal Park.
