The property

Driving along the coastline towards your holiday home, which sits near the sea on the edge of the small town of Burry Port, you will be keen to arrive and settle in.

Set on the end of a terrace, the cottage sits behind a grassed verge, back from the road with unrestricted roadside parking.

This is the perfect property for a fun family holiday, with Burry Port’s shops, pubs, harbour and fine sandy beach within easy reach.

Step into the hallway, which leads into the light and welcoming sitting room with comfy leather settees; there’s also a cosy dining area and a warming electric fire to snuggle up in front of after a breezy day on the beach.

You will catch a peek of the kitchen through a glass panel, allowing in extra light, and be delighted with its space and bright contemporary fittings.

The bathroom completes the ground floor accommodation, whilst on the first floor are two charming bedrooms.

Everyone can spend time in the enclosed rear patio garden, divided by a gated fence, where outdoor meals and relaxing drinks are sure to complement sunny afternoons.

Head to the harbour, which is just half a mile away, to sit and watch the boating activity, or wander along the bright sandy beach, stopping to make a few sandcastles with the little ones.

For cyclists, the superb Millennium Coastal Path takes you right along the seafront, with its outstanding views, and is perfectly safe for cyclists of all ages.

Guests at this cottage can also enjoy direct access to the cycle store in the rear patio, making it extra easy for family bike rides together.

Nearby you can explore castles, spend a day at Pembrey’s dry ski slope, explore the surrounding nature reserves or even enjoy a day at the races.

Burry Port is perfectly located on the beautiful South West Wales coastline and has a selection of shops, a Post Office, several pubs and restaurants. The golf club is renowned for offering all year round sport, no matter what the weather throws at you, and the sandy beach is equally delightful on hot summer, or wild stormy winter days. The harbour is a hive of activity, where you can sit and watch the fishermen return to shore with their fish laden boats. The Millennium Coastal Park with its 22kms of off road cycletrack runs along this beautiful coastline, allowing walkers and cyclists alike to discover one of the most scenic routes in Wales. For the shoppers in your party, Carmarthen is a vibrant shopping centre, with lots of main chain stores plus small, unique Welsh gift shops, lovely restaurants, tea rooms, pubs, a bowling alley and a cinema for film buffs. Llanelli offers a great range of out of town shopping, a modern cinema, a theatre and a leisure centre, as well as a Nicklaus-designed modern links golf course.
