The property

Tyddyn Bach is a wonderfully characterful cottage resting in the pretty coastal town of Newport, Pembrokeshire.

Offering a charming open-plan kitchen with a quintessential cottage feel running throughout, this dwelling is ideal for friends and families alike to enjoy a refreshing break to Wales.

Stepping into the cottage, the open-plan dining area and kitchen welcomes you in, with its traditional wooden fixtures and furnishings and wood burning stove.

Whip up your meals in the kitchen, using the electric oven and hob before sitting down with the group at the farmhouse-style dining table to plan the next day's adventures.

From here, make your way to the separate sitting room to snuggle up with your loved ones; here you will find a toasty wood burning stove to gently warm the room while you relax and unwind and watch the new Smart TV.

Retire to the bedrooms for some well-earned rest after a long day of discovering the local area; the first floor is home to two twin bedrooms, ideal for a flexible sleeping arrangement for friends and families, along with a king-size with an en-suite shower room.

Each bedroom is complete with original character beams and plenty of storage to unpack your belongings in this home away from home.

Completing the interior of the cottage is a family bathroom where you freshen up and get ready for the day ahead; the bathroom is home to a bath, a shower over, a basin and a WC.

You don't need to travel to enjoy the outdoors at this property; the delightful garden plays host to a patio area with ample furniture for you to enjoy a spot of al fresco dining in the summer months.

A tranquil brook runs through the lawned area of the garden and is served by quaint slate bridges and surrounded by fruit trees.

Give yourself a break from the cooking and head out to one of the local restaurants.

Tides Kitchen & Wine Bar offers a tasty fresh seafood menu, while Llys Meddyg Hotel & Restaurant provides lovely outdoor dining facilities so you can enjoy a pint in the sun.

If Italian is your preference, The Canteen is within walking distance and offers scrumptious fresh pizzas.

For days out while you are at the cottage, take a trip to the Welsh Wildlife Centre where you can get up close and personal with the wildlife and unleash your creative side at the craft centre before stopping for a light lunch in the café.

History buffs will relish in an afternoon at Castell Henllys Iron Age Village, where you can wander the settlement, meet the tribe, and gain an insight into life 2000 years ago.

If you are travelling with younger visitors, why not spend an afternoon at Folly Farm Adventure Park and Zoo, or even take a trip to Pembrokeshire Llamas where you can guide the llamas around their field for a truly unique experience.

There are an abundance of walking and cycling routes in the area and along the nearby coastlines as well as the stunning Blue Lagoon, an old quarry which is now bright aqua waters; the lagoon was an active slate quarry until 1910, before being abandoned and flooded.

Whatever you get up to on your holiday, Tyddyn Bach is the ideal base for a memorable trip to Pembrokeshire.
