“The cottage was very well equipped, however the enclosed garden is up a very steep concrete steps which isn't advertised, also the bathroom I found very dangerous as its located on the stair case, step step going into it and no handrail.”

I am very sorry that you were so unhappy with your stay and found the accommodation dangerous. As you may be able to see on the website, we normally get excellent reviews. I would just like to respond to your comments regarding how the accommodation is described on the property particulars - there being steps to the bathroom is mentioned and the need to take care. We also state that great care needs to be taken on the steps to the rear garden and as you know there is an alternative, enclosed, level front garden where it is possible to sit out I thank you again for your comments and very pleased that you found the cottage well equipped. “This is our 2nd time stopping at Rock house and would definitely return.”

Cant fault the cleanliness and location which is a 2 minute walk from the beach. There is a nice gated area at the front which was perfect for our dog to chill in while being completely safe. Will look forward to coming back in the future.

“We had a brilliant week-the location and the quality of the property were just perfect.”

Parking was easy .The owners have thought of absolutely everything to make the house a perfect holiday home and it was spotless on arrival.The beds are comfortable and the kitchen so well equipt. The welcome guide explains how everything works really clearly.The garden is lovely too ,great to watch the world go by from the benches in the front and a real late afternoon suntrap at the back in the most comfortable garden chairs! The house is literally 2 minutes stroll from the beautiful beach and on a rainy afternoon quick to get back to! We have stayed in a lot of self catering houses over the years but this is my favourite by far-we hope to be back next year!

“Only problem we had was that the shower was running cold could find no instructions and no sign of a switch!”

I’m so sorry there was a problem with the shower. I am just wondering whether you tried to get hold of our cleaner, who would normally have made contact with me to get this resolved. The instructions in the guide are to turn the hot water to on at the boiler and it constantly heats the water. Yes we would love the hedge to be reduced too. Property Owner

“This is a beautifully situated and furnished cottage.”

With high end, modern furnishings. It is in walking distance to the shops, restaurants and white, sandy beach. Although there is resident, permit only parking outside the cottage, there is a charity run car park across the road. The owners have left a very effective users manual for all the electrical appliances in the cottage, including the heating and water. We did find this very helpful. However, we would say if you have any mobility issues this may not be the best choice of cottages for you as there are three small flights of stairs and the bathroom step is rather steep. We also found very steep steps out the back to a high garden, which was lovely and the scenery was beautiful, but not easily accessible especially if you have a dog. Broad haven is a beautiful, coastal retreat with stunning surrounding countryside. Definitely a place we would like to visit again. We do think that if this cottage made one or two alterations it would be one of the best to stay in.

“A lovely old house tastefully modernised.”

Convenient for beach, shops and walks. Comfortable and quirky but not really cosy...perhaps a rug in the lounge would help? Well equipped kitchen, lovely bathroom, comfy beds. We are fit but in our 70s so the 3 flights stairs down from bedroom and very awkward corner steps into bathroom were challenging!! Also no garden as mentioned in ad...just steep steps up to gravel patch which the house book asks not to use. Disappointed that this aspect of the description was inaccurate as we include garden in our serach filter

Listing says roadside parking available, but the car park (very busy) over the road is the only option. Washing machine not available. Otherwise a beautiful cottage in a fab location.

Rock House is a wonderful three-bedroom stone-built cottage resting in Broad Haven in Pembrokeshire.

Enjoying a stunning location along Pembrokeshire’s scenic coastline and just moments away from the beautiful Broad Haven Beach, Rock House is a fantastic pet-friendly base for a group or family of six, plus their canine companions, who are looking for their next adventure to Wales.

Step into the welcoming living/dining room, where you can look forward to tucking into long, lazy dinners over a bottle of wine at the dining table for six, followed by a relaxing evening spent in front of a much-loved film on the TV.

The budding chef of the group will have all they need to whip up mouth-watering meals in the well-equipped kitchen, including a dishwasher so time isn’t wasted doing chores!
