“What fantastic hosts!”

Nothing was too much for them, not that we had to ask for anything. The location is great for anyone who wants to explore Pembrokeshire as it is so central. We had a fabulous time and our grandchildren loved getting involved on the farm and with the sheepdog and hen. A wonderful stay and highly recommended.

It had everything you could ever need whilst on holiday including parking, kitchen utensils, washing powder, dishwasher tablets. Plenty of room in the house and lovely garden. The fresh flowers in each room were a lovely touch. Du the sheepdog was a big hit.

“Nice owners and great location to explore the area.”

The cottage was very clean on arrival and the kitchen utensils were good. Furniture dated but the same in all similar Welsh cottages. Heating system was very good and warmed the cottage quickly. We had a few issues being the noisy plumbing when flushing the loo which woke our daughter a few times (so in the end we didn't flush after 8pm - not ideal!!) and the fact the master bedroom is very close to the main road which impacted on our sleep. If the bedroom was located where the kitchen is this wouldn't have been a problem so I guess if you are a heavy sleeper you will be fine.

“Chose Hill Top Farm Cottage to accommodate my brother's needs as he is a manual wheelchair user, all facilities are on ground floor level and easy access for wheelchair at rear of property.”

Property was clean and comfortable and hosts very accommodating. Only negatives for being the cottage is on a main road and can hear traffic in the main double bedroom, in addition double bed was slightly too small for us - there is ample room for a king-size bed should this be considered. Would not hesitate to recommend as an ideal base to explore Pembrokeshire, we dined out one evening at Black Pool Mill which was excellent and the Pub in Carew is worth a visit.

“Teresa & Pat are really lovely people and perfect hosts - ably assisted by Du the collie!”

The cottage was very clean and comfortable. It was well equipped with kitchen utensils and extra bedding. Having two showers and a bath was particularly useful. One of the showers would be easily accessible for anyone who had mobility problems. Constant hot water was also appreciated. The cottage location is good for towns and beaches in both directions. Plenty of places to explore - beaches, castles and little towns. Would recommend Folly Farm for a day out with children, Solva Beach, St David’s, Poppit Beach, Cresswell Cafe in Fishguard, Pembroke Castle, Penralt Garden Centre and Pizzatipi in Cardigan!!!

There was lots to do and see in the area and the weather was perfect. I would stay there again, infact we wished we could have stayed for two weeks. There were just a few things that would have made our stay more comfortable. The cottage needed a really good spring clean. Nothing too serious, just cobwebs etc and the plumbing was very noisy each time the toilets were flushed. The mattresses in the larger twin room need replacing as the springs were quite uncomfortable. But as I said, i would stay there again and would recommend to others.

“We were greeted with a warm welcome from owners Teresa, Pat and their wonderful dog Du.”

An amazingly warm and cosy cottage was waiting for us to begin our holiday. A fully equipped kitchen, spacious dining/living room and three comfortable bedrooms, the double being an ensuite shower. A main big bathroom with a bath, seperate shower, toilet and a wash basin was more then adequate. The surroundings were very nice and quiet, there is a road next to the property but the noise didn't affect our stay at all. Perfectly situated to access all the local attractions, Oakwood is just a Five minute drive away and Folly Farm Seven minutes. The local beaches and castles are also quite close by, Narberth town being the closest for shopping. We will be returning in the future and highly recommend this property. Thanks to Teresa, Pat and Du for making our stay so memorable.

“An absolutely wonderful holiday cottage, one of the best, if not THE best we have ever rented.”

“We very much enjoyed our stay at Hill Top Farm Cottage.”

The hosts are friendly and helpful without ever being intrusive and the cottage itself is well equipped and, I feel, actually rather more spacious than the photos perhaps suggest. Before our holiday I was slightly worried about the size of the main living area but we never felt remotely cramped in the main living area and the bedrooms are well-spaced apart with the main two rooms being a generous size. The separate utility room is very useful and helps to shut out washing machine and tumble dryer noise (the latter a godsend if you have children regardless of the weather!) and the main bathroom shower has good pressure. The cottage is a short drive from both the A40 and A477 and as such all of Pembrokeshire is very accessible. All in all, I would highly recommend Hill Top Farm Cottage.

A good base for exploring Tenby (20min.); Solva/St David's/Porthgain (40min.) Don't miss Cresswell Quay 10 min. away, plus a TRUE pub there : The Cresselly Arms. Dee the sheepdog was a great playmate for our grandchildren. The few breakages we reported were met with an understanding : "....it happens in every home..." and a refusal to let us pay the cost. Patrick and Theresa were good hosts; all in all a very good holiday.

Everything you could possibly want was in the kitchen (plus some extra things!). The hosts Pat and Teresa were fantastic, very friendly and welcoming and there to answer any questions. Du the dog was just excellent - our three year old is very unsure of dogs and absolutely loved Du. The surroundings are beautiful, it was lovely having a wander about to see the sheep and waking up each morning to see the chickens outside. The cottage is absolutely perfectly placed to explore Tenby and the surrounding areas. We had an amazing holiday and wouldn't hesitate to come back.

Owners very pleasant nice welcome had a chat most days recommended a lovely walk for a first day which was excellent. Very good comfortable accommodation. Plenty of hot water, easy quick central heating system. We were very lucky with the weather sunny every day bar one which was cloudy with two hours of rain. The area around Narberth and the cottage is extremely pleasant and well looked after as is the whole of Pembrokeshire. With its coastal path, rivers, gardens, castles, pretty villages and wonderful beaches it has so much to offer for a relaxing holiday and the people we met just encouraged us to have a good time.

There wasn't quite enough wood for the log burner on the first night but that could be because we lit it early and kept it going for novelty value until nearly 11pm. I'm sure if we had asked for more logs they we would have been provided with them so not a problem at all.

Although inside the house it was not a problem, when you want to sit in the garden on a lovely warm day the noise of the traffic does somewhat spoil the experience! “The cottage is very spacious, with three bedrooms, one has an en suit, and are all fitted out with wardrobes.”

The cottage's utility room is kitted out with lots of extra equipment that is conducive to daily living. The kitchen / lounge is wonderful as you can prepare food and be with the family. The location is excellent as you can access the whole of west wales easily, Saunders foot and its sisters beaches are only 15-20 mins in the car. Farmer pat and Teresa who own the property are very happy to help if there are any problems, and if you have small children will teach them how to look after chickens, giving them some responsibility during the course of your stay. The location is very quiet, there is the hum of the road but apart from that it's perfect if you had a day in the garden. Their dog is so friendly and plays a big part in your stay as he meets and greets you when you arrive from days out. We will be booking for next year so I could not really recommend it enough.

The bustling town of Narberth is a delight to discover with its many individual shops, including upmarket boutiques, specialist deli grocers and unique gift shops, and a wide choice of restaurants, bistros and pubs can be found in and around the town. Queen's Hall, Narberth's leading cultural and arts venue hosts a variety of concerts, plays and events, which can be enjoyed throughout the year.
