    “What a lovely place.”

We were the 1st ‘guests’ to stay in this lovely home from home. We want solitude, peace, zero light pollution, a feeling of being remote but still in touch and quiet, this cottage ticked all those ‘boxes’. It’s a comfy homely place to stay and well equipped, the bed we slept in was very comfortable. There was no mobile reception on EE or Vodafone but the wireless reception via the satellite internet set-up was excellent and we could stream on the iPads and smart TV when we wanted ...

The local beach reached via the path is super ( bring good walking boots/ wellies) and we enjoyed the seal who popped up to view us, get to the waterfall just up from the beach. The owner was very helpful with friendly tips before the holiday. This part of Pembrokeshire is serene and beautiful and this is an ideal base to explore it from- there are SO many wonderful places to visit and it’s heaven for walkers. We loved our week here.

Taibach is a charming, characterful cottage set between the coastal village of Dinas and Cwm-Yr-Eglwys in north Pembrokeshire.

Boasting original features including exposed stone and wooden beams, this pretty retreat is perfect for families or groups of friends and with off-road parking for four cars and nearby beaches on your doorstep, Taibach is a truly welcoming abode for guests and two well-behaved pets.

Upon entering the property, you will be greeted by its character and charm and you can unwind in the sitting room in front of the Smart TV, warmed by the woodburning stove as you enjoy a glass of your favourite beverage.

The patio doors open up onto the garden, allowing a flood of natural light to fill the room whilst the kitchen/diner is well-equipped for all your culinary needs, allowing you to prepare delightful meals to be enjoyed at the dining table.

For quieter moments, retreat to the snug, where you can sink into the sofas and admire the characterful exposed brickwork around an ornamental fireplace.

As the day draws to a close, retire to one of the four inviting bedrooms, comprising two doubles, a twin and a single - each room is tastefully decorated, with storage for your belongings.

A sleek bathroom offers a space to relax and unwind after a day of exploration and there is also a separate shower room with a walk-in shower, providing additional convenience.

Outside, let the kids and dogs roam free as there are no passing cars.

The rear non-enclosed garden is a real delight, boasting pretty floral displays, mature shrubs, and lawns whilst the raised patio area, complete with furniture, provides a wonderful spot for alfresco dining or simply enjoying a moment of tranquillity with a good book.

The coastal path leading to Aberfforest Beach literally passes the front door, ideal for avid walkers and days spent at the beach.

Cwm-Yr-Eglwys with the iconic ruin of St Brynach's Church standing on its shore is also only a short walk away whilst the village of Dinas Cross offers a convenience store for all of your essentials, as well as a pub.

The stunning 5500 year old Pentre Ifan Neolithic Burial Chamber is a must-see, as one of the finest examples of its kind in Wales.

For excellent cuisine, visit nearby Newport which hosts The Golden Lion, The Castle Inn, Blas at Fronlas and Tides Kitchen & Wine Bar for delicious seasonal menus made with fresh local ingredients.

Alternatively, travel up towards Newport Golf Course for a round or just grab a coffee and scrumptious bite at the Cat Rock Cafe, with wonderful views of the bay, across Newport Sands.
