The property

Tegfan is a character cottage that welcomes families, friends and couples to the north Pembrokeshire coast.

Inside, you and your party will be greeted by the open-plan living space with everything you could need close by and easily accessible.

The chef among you can whip up a delicious home cooked meal in the fully-fitted kitchen, before dining together at the table or enjoying your meals al fresco style in your own private garden.

After your day of adventures, take a load off with a much needed soak in the tub or a steamy rinse under the shower before you get tucked in under the fresh linen of the bedrooms.

When you're ready to explore, head to the stunning Pembrokeshire Coast Path, Tegfan is the perfect base from which to explore this magnificent local coastline with spectacular circular walks to Cwm Yr Eglwys and Pwllgwaelod Beach, around Dinas Head.

Alternatively, for longer walks head towards Fishguard or Newport on foot from your front door.

Dinas has a convenience store for all of your holiday essentials and the friendly pub The Ship Aground to quench your thirst after a long walk.

For more amenities, independent stores and a great variety of pubs, cafés, and restaurants, visit nearby Newport and continue along to Cardigan where you can find the birthplace of the Welsh Eisteddfod at Cardigan Castle for the historians of the group.

The nature lovers meanwhile can revel in the the Welsh Wildlife Centre at nearby Cilgerran and take a boat trip out to meet the resident dolphins of Cardigan Bay.

On your way back to base, call in at Castell Henllys Iron Age Village and head further back in time to the Neolithic age, with a photo at the picture postcard Pentre Ifan Burial Chamber.

For the hikers, a bracing walk up into the mythical Preseli Hills is a must and make sure to call down into the Gwaun Valley for a pint of Bass in one of Wales' most iconic pubs, 'Bessies' at journeys' end.

Newport 2.5 miles.

The village of Dinas Cross has a well stocked petrol station shop, two pubs, a fish and chip shop and lies between the Preseli Hills and the Pembrokeshire coast. Cwm-yr-Eglwys and Pwllgwaelod beaches are both short walks away and the three-mile walk around Dinas Head accessed from either beach is one of the finest walks in Wales. Both beaches are ideal for swimming, sailing, kayaking and paddleboarding. Newport three miles away at the estuary of the river Nevern is a bustling old town with vast beaches and lies at the foot of the mystical mountain Carn Ingli. Fishguard, five miles away is an historic old fishing village on the estuary of the river Gwaun and has many amenities including a cinema, leisure centre and a vibrant music scene which has three festivals devoted to folk, classical and jazz music. Further away is the market town of Cardigan to the north and the historic city of St Davids to the south with its magnificent cathedral and many eating places. There are many good cafes and restaurants in Newport and Fishguard and excellent local produce available at the weekly street market in Newport.
