The property

Builth House is a lovely cottage located in the Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park in the village of Gilwern.

This pet-friendly home features a charming interior with a toasty open fire, making it great for a getaway with friends, family, or even a couple.

When you arrive, park your car in an off-road parking spot.

The driveway is suitable for storing bikes, and you can even hose these down after a biking excursion, if needed.

On entering the kitchen, you'll see it has everything you need to create a feast, as well as a handy dishwasher to help with cleanup.

Move the conversation on into the living/dining room, which has a sofa and a TV for your evening entertainment.

Enjoy a glass of wine in the garden while admiring the mountain views and reflecting on the day's events before heading to the first floor to freshen up in the sleek bathroom.

Brecon Beacons National Park is also worth exploring, where you can meander through the magnificent terrain, walk up hills and stop for a picnic at calm ponds.

Visit Abergavenny, a market town with the ruins of Abergavenny Museum, gorgeous gardens for a relaxing walk, and a cluster of pubs for a refreshing pint.

Crickhowell 3 miles; Abergavenny 4 miles; Monmouth 20 miles.

Situated amidst the Brecon Beacons National Park, the picturesque village of Gilwern offers visitors many amenities, including traditional pubs, shops and a great fish and chip shop. The National Park covers approximately 520 sq miles, and the whole area around Gilwern is surrounded by stunning countryside, and offers excellent walking, cycling and bird watching, as well as great salmon and trout fishing on the river Usk. The medieval market town of Abergavenny, the "Gateway to Wales", is nestled between the 'seven hills' and has something for everyone, with its many indoor and outdoor markets, magnificent castle and museums. The splendid mountain known as Sugarloaf offers fantastic walks for all abilities, as well as its own vineyard, while just a few miles away, the beautiful town of Crickhowell is a must for all visitors.
