“We’ve just spent a wonderful week at the Haggaurd.”

The barn was so warm and clean and comfortable and in a lovely peaceful position. Just surrounded by fields and being able to see the sheep and cattle out the windows was so nice. Plenty of room in there and always instant hot water. It has everything you need in there for a comfortable holiday. The barn was so warm and clean and comfortable and in a lovely peaceful position. Just surrounded by fields and being able to see the sheep and cattle out the windows was so nice. Plenty of room in there and always instant hot water. It has everything you need in there for a comfortable holiday. It was a great location as it was easy to get to all the coastline and towns in a short time. Pam and Karl who own the barn were lovely and kindly showed us around the barns with the cattle and let me bottle feed one of the calves which was lovely. There are so many wonderful places to see around the coast and beautiful beaches and coastal walks and seeing the seals in the sea. Lots of nice places to eat not far from the barn including Saundersfoot and the Captains Table pub and the Boat Inn. Had some really good meals there. Can recommend the boat trip to Cauldey Island to see the seals and St. Guvans. After a busy day exploring it was lovely to come back to the warm barn to relax and have a peaceful nights sleep. Thank you Pam and Karl for letting us stay in your barn and for all the treats you left us. We would highly recommend this barn and hope to return again soon. We really didn’t want to go home!

Positioned down a quiet farm track just off the village of Jeffreyston, close to Kilgetty on the Pembrokeshire coast, is this inviting barn conversion.

This detached and well-presented property is perfect for families with its garden area, countryside views and a thriving position on the Pembrokeshire coast.

On entering the property through the front door, you are straight into the sitting area, with two leather sofas and an armchair so you can take the weight off your feet after the day’s activities.

The kitchen/diner offers a compact but well-equipped arrangement of integrated appliances including an electric oven and hob, dishwasher and washing machine to cover all the necessities for a short break.

Head back through the living area and upstairs to find another double and twin bedroom, completed with quality oak furnishings and a bathroom with bath and shower over.

On a sunny day you can open the doors to outside and relax in the garden patio, perhaps grilling up a hearty barbecue with a refreshing drink in hand.

The village of Kilgetty grew up around the railway after a station opened there in 1866, and is positioned between the market town of Narbeth and the seaside resort of Saundersfoot, both of which are in easy reach by car, with excellent opportunities for walkers and cyclists alike in the surrounding area.

Saundersfoot is also home to a great selection of shops, takeaways, fine restaurants, pubs and a superb beach that boasts sandy expanses and secret rocky coves for the perfect rock pooling conditions.

Attractions within the surrounding area, offering something for families of all ages include Folly Farm Adventure Park and Zoo, Colby Woodland Garden, Heatherton World of Activities and the Manor Wildlife Park.

Alternatively, head to the thriving town of Tenby where you can brush up on local history at Tenby Castle, Tenby Musuem and the National Trust-owned Tudor Merchant’s House, all well-worth a visit.

About the location

KILGETTY

Cresswell Quay 2.4 miles; Saundersfoot 3 miles; Yerbeston 3.9 miles; Tenby 5 miles.

The rural village of Kilgetty is situated 2.4 miles from one of the most picturesque villages in Pembrokeshire, Cresswell Quay is best described as a delightful hamlet of scattered cottages at the edge of the tidal estuary. The central focal point is, of course, the old quay where boats can still moor, for the time the tide allows, and you may wish to pop into the Cresselly Arms for light refreshments. Just a short drive from the town of Tenby and offers a selection of shops and pubs, along with its own train station. Kilgetty is central to a number of attractions, with the coastal resorts of Saundersfoot and Tenby nearby, offering fabulous beaches, watersports and boat trips to Caldey Island, the home of a small gathering of monks and their monastery. Also nearby is the award winning Folly Farm, which makes for a great family day out and enables you to see a working farm at its best. Oakwood Theme Park is a 10 minute drive away and boasts the biggest wooden rollercoaster in Europe, whilst the spectacular Pembrokeshire coastline and the coastal National Park, a walker's paradise, are also within easy reach.
