“A great week in such a beautiful property.”

It was perfect for a family gathering with a large communal space but also lots of bedrooms/bathrooms for everyone to have their own space. It’s practical with wood flooring/ leather furnishings so pet friendly and easy to keep clean. Wet room is great. The location was perfect if you have a car and I walked into Laugharne with the dogs. We’d jump at the chance to stay again. Loved the back courtyard, although our mini cockapoo could jump the wall, and if it had a private area of grass for ...

It’s practical with wood flooring/ leather furnishings so pet friendly and easy to keep clean. Wet room is great. The location was perfect if you have a car and I walked into Laugharne with the dogs. We’d jump at the chance to stay again. Loved the back courtyard, although our mini cockapoo could jump the wall, and if it had a private area of grass for the dogs it would have been perfect. We kept dogs on the leads out in grassy area out of respect as it is a shared area. That wouldn’t put us off coming back at all though. Friendly and welcoming owner and really well equipped.

Llansadurnen Farm Cottages

Laugharne 1.8 miles. These two delightful barn conversions are set on the owners’ non-working farm in the small village of Llansadurnen, just less than two miles from the town of Laugharne in Pembrokeshire. These lovely holiday homes are ideal for families with plenty to see and do in the area. The larger of the two properties is The Mill and Stable, which has been converted from a grain store and stable, where horses were once kept and includes a pulley shaft in the sitting area which at one time drove the mill. The other conversion, The Old Cow Barn was as it is named a cow barn within the farmyard. Traditional in style and with character features, these cottages have everything that you need in order to enjoy a pleasant stay within this part of South Wales. Both of these charming properties are set up with wheelchair users in mind, with both having a care bed and wet room shower. The owner is also able to provide a hoist and raised chair. Both also have open plan living areas, an en-suite bathroom with roll-top bath, off road parking and shared use of a lawned garden. Close by is the town of Laugharne, which is set overlooking the Taf River Estuary, and you may wish to visit poet Dylan Thomas’ boat house and writing shed. The town also has a castle and a selection of shops and pubs. Also within reach is the sandy beach at Pendine, the seaside resorts of Tenby and Saundersfoot and the superb Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. Two welcoming holiday homes in a great location.

About the location

LAUGHARNE

Tenby 16 miles.

Laugharne, with its majestic castle standing on a low ridge overlooking the wide Taf River Estuary, is famous for its associations with the poet Dylan Thomas, and a visit to his Boat House and the writing shed where he wrote most of his works is a wonderful experience. Beautiful walks in and around the castle, with breathtaking views of the estuary, can be followed by cream teas in quaint little tea rooms, a drink in the local pub or shopping in the gift shops and mini market. The nearby sandy beach at Pendine is where many land speed records have been famously set on its seven mile stretch of beautiful flat sand, and a little further afield are the seaside resorts of Tenby and Saundersfoot. With walks in all directions, great days out at castles, mills and craft centres galore, this is a perfect base for all the family, at any time of the year.
