“My daughter and myself visited this wonderful barn conversion for our first time, and it won't be our last!”

! Beautifully presented property and the hot tub was wonderful after long days spent walking with our dog - who also had a great time. Tranquil, peaceful and relaxing in every way. A great location to visit New Quay and other stunning beaches along the coastline. Our hosts were very friendly and we're always available if we required - which we didn't, as every aspect was great. We will definitely visit again, and hopefully bring 7 days of sunshine with us again. Wonderful

“The property is delightful.”

An excellent conversion from its previous agricultural use. Very relaxing place to spend time escaping from building work at home. The owners are friendly and discreet and take their responsibilities seriously and were quick to respond to our (limited) requests. Particularly liked the proximity of the natural world, peace and quiet, and Oh yes! The hot tub!

“Great hospitality.”

The hot hot tub was clean and fresh, checked every day. Had to contend with storm but, did not affect stay. Only difficul6was finding the place on the first night after a severe storm on the dark. I would suggest better directions without having to log into the app. Perhaps a Google pin being sent to navigate to. Otherwise great.

The cottage was exceptionally clean and cosy with everything we could need. The hot tub was excellent and used daily by us all. “We loved our cottage, and we will be to be more visits to come.”

All the details are wonderful in the kitchen. The garden is just what we need for relaxing, birds singing, bird feeder right in the window. Of course the hot tub is always lovely in the later at evening. If I could like a livingroom in our house, this cottage would have happy my life. One of the best cottage we have been here. “A wonderful little cottage in beautifully kept grounds.”

Peaceful location and perfect for walking. The adjacent secure field was a godsend for our two energetic dogs, who ran around to their hearts content. Our stay was superb, and we went home feeling very relaxed (probably due to being in the hot tub every night) Philippa and Mark, the owners couldn't do enough for us and we can't wait to go back

“Phillipa and Mark were great hosts.”

It was our first time in Wales and they were so friendly and helpful with recommendations. The cottage is clean, warm and has everything you need. The private hot tub is lovely and so are the surrounding gardens. The cottage is close to many beautiful beaches and there is so much to explore around there. We found a folder full of information about the local area and recommendations which was extremely helpful. We will definitely be booking again!

“It is about 4 years since we were last at Trawsnant.”

Philippa and Mark as always could not have been more helpful. On this occasion, we stayed in the older of the two cottages. Unfortunately the weather was not very kind and we could not use the hot tub as the roof above it was leaking. We used the two single beds on the ground floor because at 84 years of age I did not feel safe climbing the stairs to the main bedroom. Regrettably, the single beds had seen better days and the owners, in my view, need to consider replacing the mattresses

Thank you for your comments. Yes, that week you did have a couple of days of poor weather. We are aware of the drip from the hot tub roof which is just in one corner. A new hot tub has been on order since August but we are unable to have it installed until the cottage is empty as this would involve disappointing guests. When the old hot tub is removed we are having a new roof fitted before the new hot tub can be installed. The single beds are also being completely replaced in a couple of weeks time as they have been on order and we have specifically asked that they be delivered and installed on a Saturday to coincide with the change over day. We hope that next time you visit you will have a lovely stay. As a footnote: The roof to the hot tub is now completely replaced and the beds are renewed. I am very pleased with both. Mark has worked extremely hard to refresh the whole hot tub area. Property Owner

When you book its a good idea follow the directions given by the owners, it will take you right to the door. We will be back!!

“Beautiful property, amazing place to relax and unwind (particularly whilst watching the birds on the feeder outside the main window).”

Everything you could want in the property including a wealth of information. Add to this Philippa's vast knowledge of the area and you can't go wrong. Obvious the owners deeply care about their guests with the care they take over their property. With the only noise you hear (apart from the odd tractor going past) is cows and sheep you can't get more peaceful than that. A good central base for exploring. Philippa and Mark made us feel so welcome (along with their gorgeous dogs who kindly put up with our hesitant dog, although I did have our dog and the puppy playing chase around the living room whilst I was trying to clean on the last day

2 of us stayed, there was plenty of room. Very clean and the hot tub was the cleanest I have ever seen. Kitchen and sofas have been updated since the photos were taken. Everything provided for in the kitchen to cook a meal. Lots of information in the cottage about the area and where to visit. Plus DVDs and books. Lovely setting. Very quiet and private. The owners were extremely helpful and provided lots of information when we arrived about both the cottage and the area. Would definitely stay again.

The property

A delightful stone barn conversion with hot tub and mezzanine bedroom, this cottage provides very comfortable holiday accommodation in Ceredigion at any time of the year.

Situated between Aberaeron and New Quay and close to the Ceredigion Heritage coastline, there is a selection of beaches including Cwmtudu, New Quay, Tresaith and Penbryn nearby.

There are several good places to eat within a 5 mile radius of the cottage and numerous visitor attractions including the National Trust estate and gardens at Llanychaeron, a honey farm, bird of prey centre, coracle centre, cheese farm, woollen mills and a steam railway.
