“I stayed two weeks, seeing elderly parents.”
Mum poorly. I was born in Tenby and I now live away, so for me it was a base rather than holiday. However the area and the cottages are in a beautiful setting, my children, grandchildren, friends & their dogs joined me at the weekends, owner & staff couldn’t be more accommodating, very friendly (Just like the Welsh, although I may be a tiny bit biased)
Internet & WiFi a bit sketchy due to weather and location, but Owen the owner sorted it out with a phone call & once you know where the best reception is (Living room, bathroom & upstairs bedroom to be precise) it becomes the norm.
Plenty of towels provided, logs supplied for log burner, the beds could do with new mattresses & duvets, not the most comfortable I’m afraid and I found the pitch forks, guns & saws on the walls a bit difficult to get used too, not very cosy, sorry. My family & their friends weren’t bothered, found it highly amusing, renamed the place “Saw Cottage “ that said, we will definitely be booking again, they had a great time despite the pitch forks, uncomfortable beds & slightly dated decor. Otherwise it’s a lovely place to stay, pet and family friendly. My granddaughter loved the play area and the Llamas, it’s a great base to explore the beautiful Pembrokeshire coast & countryside.
