“The lodge in which we stayed was lovely,really warm clean and cosy,we loved the log burner on the chilli evenings.”

The dogs loved it to,we had all the comforts of home.We are going to most definitely book to go back again sometime this year,as nothing was to much trouble for them.There isn't anything bad that I can say about this property ,as we loved our stay.Waking up to the Alpacas in the morning,really made our holiday.Thankyou Owen and George for our stay.x

“Very comfortable and warm.”

We were visiting family in Pembroke. Problem with kettle which was immediately replaced. Sliding doors to the one wardrobe were jammed but we didn’t need to use it. Saturday/Sunday lots of people having to walk back and forward past the lodge which upset our dog and led to a lot of barking as he could see people through the blinds. This was apologised for by we think the owner. We will probably stay again. The Llamas were great.

“The location is perfect.”

It’s very peaceful and we especially liked the shared area outside which appeared well maintained. The lodge itself is quite cosy there is plenty of natural light throughout the day from the many windows. Our main issues with the property are to do with the general cleanliness of the property. There were cobwebs EVERYWHERE. The bed was also quite small although that is probably the biggest size that would fit in that area in the current configuration. The mattress, pillows and quilt all need to be changed, they are old and very well past their use by date. The shower was great but the shower head also needs a good clean/ replacing. The way the toilet is placed, there is no way to sit comfortably. The directions to the property also need to be looked at as it was very difficult to find with the map pin and after following the written directions, we ended up asking for directions from the pub that was literally next door. Overall we did in fact have a great time at the property, some of our gripes are very nitpicky. An extended stay at this property is probably the best thing to do as there are so many things to do nearby.

“Bad host , mouldy vinegar , dead flys on window sill.”

Host put messages through the door whilst I was in bed asking to turn the lights off and the bloke in the caravan was just stood outside our lodge one morning waiting for us to come out , horrified never go back

“It was a lovely location and the lodge itself was nice.”

It was cold we lost heating on day two. There was a log burner but no tools to enable that to be used and cleaned after use which would have been more cost effective than using heating as we would have been happy to purchase logs etc to use this and had expected we could. It was one of the reasons we chose the property. When we arrived the cups, plates etc were not clean and we had to wash everything before use. The kitchen was well stocked with equipment and as I say the lodge lovely in a nice location. It was however disappointing.

“Lovely cottage to stay in.”

We were transferred to Heather cottage and the facilities were good and theres a nice big shared garden where we sat outside to eat during the nice weather. The hot water didn’t work on the last day but as we were leaving this wasn’t a problem and I advised the owners of this who apologised. I would stay here again.

We had a lovely time staying at the lodge, it was in a ideal location and close to my home town where i grew up in Hubberston Milford Haven, so was easy access to visit family and friends, everything we needed was there, we will defiantly be back hopefully next time we will try one of the cottages, it was so peaceful and relaxing we also enjoyed watching and feeding the Alpacas

The property

Set in the quaint village of Rosemarket, 4.4 miles from Milford Haven, is this welcoming single-storey cottage.

With the Brunel trail and the picturesque Westfield Pill Nature Reserve close by, this lodge is ideally placed for an outdoor holiday, as well as being within easy reach of the Pembrokeshire coastline.

The village of Rosemarket is midway between the major towns of Haverfordwest, Milford Haven and Pembroke offering a wide range of historical sites and other places of interest.

As soon as you step inside you will sense the rustic feel to it, with wooden floors and timber walls making up the framework of the lodge.

Enjoy a home-cooked meal prepared in the well-equipped kitchen before unwinding beside the woodburner while you catch up on your favourite TV.

As the evening draws to a close, retire to the double bedroom, complete with an en-suite shower room.

Outside there is a communal play and BBQ area, as well as ample off road parking.

Church View Cottages – – Central to the impressive rolling Pembrokeshire Countryside is the quaint historic village of Rosemarket where you will find a beautiful set of traditional cottages bursting with character, in an excellent location for exploring the delights of Pembrokeshire. Perfectly suited for the lone traveller, couples and families and mixed groups for family get togethers, holidays or short braeks. These Welsh stone barns have been lovingly converted by their owner to provide well sized rooms and modern facilities, whilst retaining their classic charm and period features such as wood burning stoves for a cosy night in, wood flooring and exposed beams. If you do manage to venture away from the charms of Church View, there is access to the ‘Brunel cycle and walking path’ directly from the property and the world famous Pembrokeshire Coastal Path is a mere 4 miles away at Llanstadwell. 10 minutes drive is the Historic harbour town of Milford Haven, “one of the finest natural waterways” in the words of Lord Nelson. Around the recently redeveloped harbour you can enjoy a coffee or delicious meal in one of the many eateries or browse the wonderful craft shops. Travelling west past the Town of Milford Haven, you can discover the “picture postcard” coves and cliffs of Sandy Haven, Dale and Marloes Sands. Be sure to take a boat trip to Skomer Island to spot the abundance of seals, puffins and over 22,000 bird species. Pembroke is approximately 10 minutes away where the renowned Pembroke Castle can be found, one of the many ancient castles and fortresses that can be found in Pembrokeshire, often known as the County of Castles. For a family day out visit Folly Farm Adventure Park and Zoo or enjoy the rides at Oakwood Theme Park and the fantastic Blue Lagoon swimming pool. Adrenalin lovers can pay a visit to nearby Newgale Beach to sample its rolling surf or go coasteering around the beautiful coastline. The picturesque towns of Tenby, St Davids and Haverfordwest are all within easy travelling distance of the cottages and are a must see for visitors.
