“Pleasant barn in very quiet location.”

The garden and outdoor areas need attention. We had to clean the oven before we could use it. This property would suit people who wanted peace and quiet. The nearest shops are in Broad Haven a 10 minute drive along very narrow lanes. The Pembrokeshire coastline is stunning and we enjoyed seeing it despite the weather!

“Lovely place in very peaceful setting on a farm, but very easy to get out and about.”

The beds were very comfortable, plenty of space to relax and we had all kitchen tools for cooking, which we did each evening. Enclosed secure garden for dog and he enjoyed it.

“A super holiday property which caters for everyone in the family whether old or young.”

The owner is very helpful and kind if needed. The open plan kitchen and sitting area gives a feeling of space with a quiet reading area up the open stairs if anyone wants to be away from the television downstairs. The property is only a ten minute drive from the coast but care needs to be taken when travelling on the single lanes with passing places.

“A beautiful peaceful setting and a lovely, helpful owner.”

The renovation of the barn provides a modern kitchen and bathrooms whilst overall maintaining the character of the original barn in the main living area and upstairs. The double doors in the living room mean you can easily step outside with a cuppa, even in the rain as the seating area is covered. It's lovely.

“Description of facilities was accurate.”

All beds were very comfortable. It was noted that the property said not suitable for wheelchair use. In fact the living space on the ground floor was very cramped for 6 people. It did help that there were 2 comfortable chairs on the upper floor which could be used but this split the group. The third twin bedroom was very restricted in space but there was no indication of this in the description, and no picture. The kitchen was very adequate and well supplied with crockery. The owners were friendly and helpful. It was good after the holiday that we received an email thanking all the family for leaving the barn so tidy it was very much appreciated.

No grass where the sitting is after the patio only uneven farm yard not really suitable for small children.Front lawn very narrow only a small bench on an uneven strip of concrete .No relaxing there with a drink as stated. One of the owners very grumpy verging rude.

“A wonderful cottage in a quiet location.”

The house is appointed to a very high standard with every thing you need for your stay. The owners are very friendly and only next door so really useful if they are needed and our son loved being surrounded by the cows and tractors on the farm. The local pubs are a drive away but well worth it, especially in Little Haven and the beaches are incredible. Check the tide times that are given to you in a booklet in the cottage. A fantastic cottage in a beautiful location.

The owners of the barn John and Virginia were also very friendly. There are many beautiful beaches and coastal walks to visit. Barafundle Bay near Pembroke was spectacular, Marloes, Little Haven, Broad Haven all dog friendly but you must check the tide times. St David's and Solva are well worth a visit. A fantastic week but we were lucky with the weather NO RAIN.

The Long Barn is well equipped with well appointed kitchen and bathrooms. We found the Barn lovely and warm on chilly days. The owners are easily contacted as they live next door and indeed they told us not to hesitate to knock if we needed anything at all.

Owners are on site and very friendly. Tiled throughout with a small enclosed garden which is ideal for dogs. Great for star gazers, bird watchers and bat enthusiasts as no light pollution. We really enjoyed our super relaxing stay and would book again.

John and Virginia were great hosts and extremely accommodating and communication was good from the start. They also got the barn ready early as the weather on our first day was due to be terrible. The barn itself is a fantastic place to take your family on holiday as we did. Our children thoroughly enjoyed their stay and spending time exploring the farm. There is plenty to see and do, even if the weather is poor. All in all we'd definitely holiday in the Long Barn again.

We particularly liked Little Haven which was the nearest sea cove and there was excellent walking on Pembrokeshire coastal path, and of course the wonderful Skomer island trip to see the Puffins. A wonderful holiday and the weather was extremely kind to us!

There was plenty of space for our family of five plus dog. The bathrooms are very modern and it was great to have a shower to wash off the dog just inside the front door! The underfloor heating and the wood stove made the place cosy. The owners were very gracious hosts. The location made it very easy to visit the beaches and St Davids.

The property

Little Haven 2.5 miles.

This charming barn conversion is situated next to the owners’ home on their working cattle farm, close to the small Pembrokeshire village of Little Haven.

Open beams, a beautiful wooden staircase, a warming woodburner and comfortable furnishings all combine to provide you with a wonderful stay within this beautiful part of Wales.

The open plan living area with its high ceiling showing open beams and quirky farm feeders is perfect for time together, making meals and relaxing in front of the TV with your loved ones.

Two ground floor bedrooms, one with an en-suite and an easy access wet room mean less mobile guests may well be able to enjoy a stay here too.

The first floor offers a crog loft with a mezzanine sitting area and a curtained twin bedroom which is ideal for younger ones to have their own space, as well as their own bathroom tucked into the eaves.

Venture out into the enclosed lawned garden, where children can play safely while you unwind with a refreshing drink.

Drive the short distance to the scenic coastline to stroll along beaches, walk some of the famous coastal path, pop into a cafe or pub for refreshments, or maybe take a boat trip to Skomer Island (one mile off the coast) to see the puffins and Manx shearwater.

The best time to be among the puffins is May to July but boat trips are a must all year round.

With the whole of Pembrokeshire beckoning, there’s plenty on offer including theme parks, days at seaside resorts, historic castles and St. David’s, the smallest city in the UK.

An excellent holiday home for families and friends with plenty to see and do in the area.
