The property

In the lovely seaside town of Tenby, you'll find The Boathouse, a modern masterpiece boasting a fantastic layout and some excellent features.

Wonderfully suited for a family holiday, this property has two bedrooms and benefits from a shared lawned garden for the kids to run around, and is also close to the centre of town and the coast.

Going in through the front door will bring you to the stylish kitchen decked in bright units and home to all the appliances you'll need, including a dishwasher.

This space also has a breakfast table for four, and even has a utility cupboard housing a washing machine and tumble dryer, hidden behind a sliding cupboard door, showcasing the clever and well-thought design of the property.

A ground-floor shower room sits across from the kitchen, featuring a large modern shower, while upstairs on the first floor you will find the family bathroom, where you can spend time soaking in the spacious tub drenched in the natural light from the Velux window.

The first floor has a Cedar wood-panelled wall and flooring, exposed beams and ceiling windows, showcasing the reason for its namesake, giving this bright open space a warming and homely touch.

Two smart dark blue sofas sit in front of the TV, perfect for getting together and putting a favourite film on to watch.

After making a delicious meal downstairs in the kitchen, bring it up and serve it on the beautiful dining table before you retire to the bedrooms.

The Boathouse has two bedrooms; a twin and a super-king-size, both with zip/link abilities so you can ensure you have the sleeping arrangement you prefer, with a jack-and-jill lockable door between the rooms which can be useful for those with young children.

In the summer months you can really make use of the garden outside, with some outdoor seating on the patio and a lawned area you can sit out and soak up the rays.

If you've come with little ones, then take them down to the safe Harbour Beach for a play in the sand and maybe a first dip in the sea, or head over to Castle Beach which has an easy access slipway to get down to it.

Walkers are in luck, as Tenby has great coastal walks, one of the most popular being the Pembrokeshire Coast Path providing stunning views of Saundersfoot Bay from the headland at Monkstone.

A visit to Caldey Island by ferry is perfect way to spend the day, with more than a thousand years of prayer and peaceful living on this holy island making it a haven of tranquillity.

Set sail for The Boathouse this year, and enjoy this wonderfully designed house in the bustling town of Tenby.

Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of £100.

About the location

TENBY

Pembroke 11 miles; Carmarthen 26 miles.

The bustling seaside resort of Tenby, known within Wales as “The Jewel in the Crown", is majestically positioned on the spectacularly beautiful 'Welsh Riviera'. Tenby is part of the stunning 186 mile Pembrokeshire Coast National Park where the water is warmed by the Gulf Stream and the county is one of the sunniest places in the UK. Enclosed by medieval walls, this beautiful town features a maze of cobbled streets, hosting an array of quirky shops, indoor locally-sourced food market, tea rooms and tempting restaurants. Almost three miles of stunning, Blue Flag-awarded beaches provide a variety of watersports, whilst walkers and cyclists can enjoy the local flora and fauna on the coastal paths, something the competitors of the world-renowned Tenby Iron-Man contest (held in mid-September) haven’t time for! A boat trip to Caldey Island is recommended to enjoy the beauty and tranquillity of the monastery and island scenery, and you can enjoy seal and puffin sightings en-route! Explore the magnificent Tudor Merchant's House, or visit the nearby resorts of Saundersfoot or Manobier. For teens and younger visitors, Oakwood Theme Park provides a brilliant, fun-filled day out whilst Folly Farm offers everything from old-fashioned fairground rides to animals both local and exotic! The perfect location for an enjoyable and varied holiday.
