“Tremynydd Fawr is in a wonderful location, far away from any noise, no street lights to pollute the sky and only a short walk to the coast path.”
Its solid stone walls protected us from the mighty winds and we had plenty of room to spread ourselves, (our party being 5 adults and 3 children.) The kids loved the garden too.
However, a couple of things need to be attended to.There were several light bulbs that were not working, in the lamp in the lounge, and one of the lounge main light bulbs, and one of the bedside lights in the larger twin room, and we couldn’t find any spares! The oven heats up very unevenly, tending to over cook things on the bottom shelf. Also, we lost the water pressure several times when people had baths and we had no water for a bit. Probably a private water supply, which I am quite used to, having lived in a remote Welsh farmhouse, but does that need a mention to warn people? Oh, and could you provide sharper kitchen knives please.
Everyone was comfy and warm, although the smaller room double bed was apparently a bit uncomfortable, with the bed springs causing a bit of a problem.
Having said all that, these are small issues that could easily be rectified and we had a fantastic week there, exploring our favourite parts of North Pembs, and we became quite fond of what the children called ‘our holiday house’. Diolch yn fawr i chi.
