The property

New Quay 5 miles, Aberaeron 7 miles, Cardigan 15 miles.

Erw las annexe ‘Ty Bach Twt’ (‘Neat Little House’) is a comfortable, cosy self-contained little cottage, which serves as an excellent base for a relaxing holiday, ideal for couples.

The owners, who live next door, have taken great care in converting the ‘wash house’, whilst retaining its original character, to an accommodation that now boasts all modern-day comforts. The entrance of this pretty cottage opens into the kitchen/lounge room which feature the original timber low beam ceiling, it is furnished with a comfortable sofa, items of occasional furniture, kitchen table and chairs and colour TV & video.

The Kitchen area is compact and fully equipped with a combination/microwave oven, fridge freezer, electric hob, washing machine, toaster, kettle and a full range of cooking utensils.

A steep open tread pine staircase leads from the lounge area to the bedroom (stairs are quite steep but with handrail, any queries please check when booking) which has a pine double bed and pine furniture.

Bedlinen is provided and the bed is made up prior to your arrival.

The ground floor shower room contains electric shower, wash basin, WC, heated towel rail; bathroom towels are provided.

Heating is by Dimplex convector panel heater in the bedroom and an electric stove fire downstairs.

The property is conveniently located, adjacent to the main coastal road and is within driving distance of a selection of sandy beaches and hidden coves along this popular area of Cardiganshire coastline, which is protected and designated ‘Marine Heritage Coast’.

The Ceredigion Coastal Path offers an ideal opportunity for walkers to see the spectacular views of the Cardigan Bay Area of Conservation.

New Quay golden shoreline (offers boat trips to see the Bottlenose Dolphins and Porpoise), Llangrannog, Tresaith and Aberporth offer safe bathing and for the more energetic they are also extremely popular for water sports.

There are market towns of Lampeter, Tregaron and Cardigan with its 12th century castle, it’s popular Theatr Mwldan and high street full of independent retail outlets lie a short drive further down the coast.

Visit north to the Georgian seaside splendor of Aberaeron where there is a selection of restaurants such as the Harbour Master, The Hive, Y Selar, The New Celtic Fish & Chips, The Black Lion for a bar meal and many cafés.

Continue to Aberystwyth, brimming with eateries galore and where a trip up the Cliff Railway atop Constitution Hill will afford you a stunning panorama of the promenade and of whole sweep of Cardigan Bay or visit the Vale of Rheidol Railway which is situated by the main station.
