    “Another excellent stay at Seashells.”

Chocolate and wine on arrival, and the apartment is very clean, warm and well appointed. We used the pool most days and enjoyed walking down into Tenby to enjoy some great meals out.

The property

Settled in the seaside town of Tenby is this charming, ground-floor apartment, offering a pleasant retreat in contemporary accommodation for a family looking to explore South Wales.

Return from an action-packed day at the beach to a light and airy living/dining room, leaving your buckets and spades by the door as you take a seat on the sumptuous sofa, tuning into the Smart TV to catch up on your favourite shows.

Move into the amply equipped kitchen, offering a host of appliances including an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and even a dishwasher, so you won’t have to worry about washing up!

Set the table for a sumptuous family dinner or why not dine at a fine local restaurant?

At the end of the evening, retire to either of the beautiful bedrooms, one of which can be found boasting a luxury super king-size bed and a lovely en-suite shower room where you can prepare for the day ahead.

To the outside, French doors lead to a small balcony and seating with sea views towards Caldey Island, and offers a tranquil spot for an afternoon snack whilst there is also a shared garden at the rear.

Stroll into the centre of Tenby where you can revel in the charming walled town with its array of unique shops, a range of eating places and its historical harbour.

In the summer months, there’s nothing better than sitting on the soft golden sands of Tenby Beach whilst the littles ones safely paddle in the sea; there’s even a harbourside café where you can pick up a bacon sandwich!

Tenby also has a museum, a castle and a National Trust historical house showcasing 15th century Tudor-style architecture, among many other places, this town is filled with activities.

A boat trip to the monastery Caldey Island is recommended, a truly idyllic spot which has been inhabited by monks for many centuries, and it also offers a chance to see puffins and seals.

Walkers will find time to explore the imposing clifftops of the Pembrokeshire Coast, whilst the avid cyclists can enjoy a beautiful ride along the Brunel Trail.

With all this on your doorstep, Seashells is a fabulous getaway, any time of year.

About the location

TENBY

Pembroke 11 miles; Carmarthen 26 miles.

The bustling seaside resort of Tenby, known within Wales as “The Jewel in the Crown", is majestically positioned on the spectacularly beautiful 'Welsh Riviera'. Tenby is part of the stunning 186 mile Pembrokeshire Coast National Park where the water is warmed by the Gulf Stream and the county is one of the sunniest places in the UK. Enclosed by medieval walls, this beautiful town features a maze of cobbled streets, hosting an array of quirky shops, indoor locally-sourced food market, tea rooms and tempting restaurants. Almost three miles of stunning, Blue Flag-awarded beaches provide a variety of watersports, whilst walkers and cyclists can enjoy the local flora and fauna on the coastal paths, something the competitors of the world-renowned Tenby Iron-Man contest (held in mid-September) haven’t time for! A boat trip to Caldey Island is recommended to enjoy the beauty and tranquillity of the monastery and island scenery, and you can enjoy seal and puffin sightings en-route! Explore the magnificent Tudor Merchant's House, or visit the nearby resorts of Saundersfoot or Manobier. For teens and younger visitors, Oakwood Theme Park provides a brilliant, fun-filled day out whilst Folly Farm offers everything from old-fashioned fairground rides to animals both local and exotic! The perfect location for an enjoyable and varied holiday.
