Diane “What a gem.”
Mushroom House is a quality property, ideal as a location for Tenby Town and as a base to explore the beautiful Pembrokeshire coast. With the added bonus of car parking, a must for staying in Tenby. We had a wonderful holiday.

Samya “Lovely apartment, literally 5 minutes walk up the hill to north beach and town center.”
The accommodation was superb, everything you need (although the sofa was very low) we couldn't fault anything. The host was very welcoming, a great source of local knowledge and quick to respond to queries. The added bonus of a parking spot right outside the front door was a godsend. Definitely recommend this property as a gateway to visiting Pembrokeshire.
- Samya, August 2024Glad you have enjoyed your stay, thank you for your kind words. Property Owner

Debbie “Comfortable property in a good location with parking.”
Unfriendly neighbour to the right, locked his dog outside & said he was going to punch it in the f……g head & kept swearing & shouting at it, nearly called RSPCA. Obviously that is outside of anyone’s control. Overall property is nicely furnished & clean, neighbours not so much !!
- Debbie, April 2024 -
Diane “The Mushroom House apartment was ideal for two people with all the facilities we needed for a week`s holiday.”
North Beach and Tenby town centre were a five minute walk away. Tenby is a pretty place and we found a lot to do there and in the local area. There are plenty of cafes and restaurants too.
- Diane, October 2023we are glad you have enjoyed your stay, thank you for your staying with us. Property Owner

Jennifer “Love this ground floor apartment.”
Having your own, generous parking space is like gold dust in Tenby. Location is quiet and private. Very clean with very nice kitchen and everything you could need. The little patio and indoor little seating space are lovely. Only minor thing is that the sofa seats iare getting a bit squashy. Owners very friendly and helpful.
- Jennifer, June 2023Thank you for your nice words! Property Owner
-
Linda “Everything spotless only one problem the TV went into scramble mod after 20 mins on ITV.”
Bbc otherwise great stay
- Linda, May 2023 -
Nicola “Overall, a lovely stay at this convenient, clean and comfortable apartment.”
Well furnished and well equipped. There were occasional problems with TV reception on some channels - weather related possibly - perhaps it's time for the Freesat to be upgraded to a Smart TV which is much more the norm in quality cottage rentals these days. Thanks very much again for an enjoyable time in Tenby.
- Nicola, April 2023 -
Nicholas “The Mushroom House is a lovely comfortable Apartment.”

Caroline “Lovely kept and very clean.”
Would like a more comfortable settee and a fan for the bedroom would have been lovely for the hot weather but other than that a great accommodation. We will certainly book again.
- Caroline, July 2022 -
Jennifer “Our second stay at the Mushroom House.”
It is very clean, comfortable and well equipped. The kitchen has been upgraded since our last stay and is very smart. The kitchen has all you need (except a bread Knife?) and it was nice to have milk, Welshcakes and tea, coffee and sugar on arrival. There is plenty of room for two people, the shower is excellent and the small seating area outside is pleasant after a day out, also the area inside by the entrance door. The property is inside what was an old walled garden, shared with some residential properties and is very quiet and private, with its own parking - gold dust in Tenby. There are two steps up to the patio and front door. It is a 5 minute (uphill) walk to the North beach and about 200 level metres to a small, well stocked, Co-op shop in the other direction. We didn’t need to use Sainsbury’s. We had only light footfall noise from upstairs. There is very good WiFi and we loved the password on the big stone, we might keep ours on one! As other people have commented, it would be nice to have instructions for the appliances (we Googled the dishwasher!) and, also, if we were responsible for putting the correct recycling things out when the neighbours did (there are very adequate boxes in the property for all recycling). We met the owner on our last day and would definitely stay here again.
- Jennifer, June 2022 -
Roger “A clean and spacious apartment, ideally situated in Tenby with only a short walk to the beach and town centre.”
The main negative comment would be the noise from the family staying in the above apartment. They were not doing anything that I would say was noisy apart from walking about like anyone would, but every footstep seemed so loud to the point that there was no point in going to bed until they did, and it was time to get up when they did. Probably made worse because they had a toddler that seemed to run about up there constantly, as toddlers do. Apart from that I thought the microwave was positioned high to the point that it would be difficult to use if you were short in height yourself. Apart from the above mentioned negatives I enjoyed my stay, and loved Tenby.
- Roger, June 2022 -
Andrew “A beautiful, ideally situated and well equipped property.”
Such an advantage to be able to park directly outside with less than a ten minute walk to North Beach. A variety of walks available direct from the door and other attractions close by include National Trust areas of beauty, Caldey Island and many more. Thoughtful facilities such as reading lights in the bedroom and an area dedicated to storing outdoor clothes and shoes with a chair provided to sit on for comfort. The recycling system was very sophisticated. The settee did not suit us but soft furnishing are always a personal taste. I certainly would recommend this property to anyone visiting Tenby.
- Andrew, April 2022 -
Robert “Generally the property was great but the settee wasn't overly comfortable”
- Robert, November 2021 -
Gary “The pillows were to hard for me a personal thing.”
No instructions on cooker heating system etc are always helpful. We could not locate the outside green caddy for rubbish, apparently we were not the first to ask its whereabouts. No sweeping brush or vac cleaner. All are very minor points, on the plus side, carparking available a plus in Tenby, location was very quiet and only a short walk to all the amenities in Tenby. We enjoyed our stay very much.
- Gary, November 2021 -
Gillian “The flat was beautiful, comfortable and very well equipped.”
It was so good to have a parking space and to be easy walking distance from the beach
- Gillian, October 2021 -
David “We thoroughly enjoyed our Autumn get-away in Tenby.”
The Mushroom House is in a great location for beautiful beaches, restaurants and town. Not only did we enjoy staying in Tenby but plenty of easy places to get to and visit. The Mushroom House was exceptionally clean, comfortable bed and well equipped. Parking was a bonus. The owners were very kind in leaving us some milk and Welsh Cakes - a thoughtful welcome to Wales. We would certainly go back there.
- David, October 2021 -
Patricia “Very well equipped property.”
The sofa could be abit more comfortable but as we were only there a short time (7days) it was not really a problem.Would definately recommend the property to a friend.
- Patricia, August 2021 -
Erick “Excellent property and location.”
Just having somewhere to park the car was an added bonus. My only gripe would the lounge chair and sofa weren't very comfortable to relax in at the end of a busy day out! Other than that, well pleased with our stay. We even got fresh towels half way through the week on request. Thanks
- Erick, July 2021 -
Terence “A fan for the hot days would have been nice.”
There wasn't anything to clean around the bathroom after a shower or bath. The kitchen also needs more in the way of cloths for cleaning. Disappointed with the outlook outside the Mushroom house, didn't have the holiday feel to it for us. Didn't find the directions to the cottage very helpful, the road and cul-de-sac has no road signs to say where you are.
- Terence, July 2021 -
Eliza “We have waited a few years to be able to book this property and it was certainly worth the wait.”
The facilities in the property more than catered for our needs and it’s location was brilliant so everything went towards making our holiday a great experience.
- Eliza, June 2021 -
Tim “Apartment was lovely, clean plenty of space for two.”
Easy to walk to beaches and town.
- Tim, May 2021 -
Angharad “Worn furnishings including saggy mattress, some sofa cushions stained, kitchen clean, main issue was flat upstairs, noisy tv and music and sounded like hobnailed elephants were walking across the floor.”
- Angharad, November 2020Many thanks for your feedback. I pride myself on maintaining my properties and replace furnishings regularly and I can see no worn furnishings. The mattress was replaced with a high quality item during my maintenance programme carried out during the first lockdown, but mattresses are personal preference. I will check the cushions for stains and inform housekeeping to be extra vigilant. I undertook a substantial sound reduction installation some years ago which in the main is sufficient. I can only apologise if the guests in the above property were less than considerate. I always reassure guests that I am available at anytime on my mobile and encourage them to contact me for any issues. It is unfortunate that the guests didn't make contact to allow me to address problems at the time which I am all too happy to do. Property Owner

Robert “Great place for a week's stay exploring the area and hiking the Pembrokeshire coast.”
The property was clean and comfortable with a good layout. The kitchen was great with a dishwasher, washing machine, cooker, microwave, etc. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom clean with lots of hot water. Wifi was excellent, very fast. We were very impressed with the overall standard and cleanliness of the accommodation and would not hesitate in using it again. Excellent restaurants in Tenby (not so good in Saundersfoot) The Plantagenet was brilliant and the delivery service and quality from Tenby Fish & Chips were great. Lovely neighbours all round, especially next door with the friendly Staffy. The local butchers (Copper Hog) was amazing (Tomahawk Beef, leg of lamb, all great and their homemade Lasagna was superb). The local pub (Evergreen) a few yards away was friendly and comfortable. All in all 10/10
- Robert, October 2020 -
Jeremy “We have been coming here for several years and always enjoy our stay.”
It's in a very quiet close and a short walk to North beach. Always clean and tidy.
- Jeremy, September 2020 -
Mike “Clean comfortable stay, pictures don’t do it justice!”
So handy for the beach. Would highly recommend
- Mike, August 2020 -
Colin “A super apartment , ideally situated with a safe place to park your car.”
The listing does not do it justice , it's a really nice place.
- Colin, February 2020 -
Derek “An excellent property.”
Well situated and well equipped. A really comfortable and homely holiday experience.
- Derek, December 2019 -
Gill “Superb location, easy short walk into town, warm and cosy.”
However, no general information e.g. how appliances work, local doctors, dentist etc. or guest comments book where you can leave info on local walks, good restaurants etc. Whilst we had a good break we would not return as the noise from the flat above (same owner) was dreadful. We met the family - lovely people, all of us were aware of noise issue. We heard every muffled footstep, conversation TV and so on.
- Gill, December 2019 -
Philip “Great holiday in ideal location within walking distance of the town and beaches.”
Off-street parking was a boon (and the weather was glorious!)
- Philip, October 2019 -
Sally “The flat was good , clean and tidy .”
..and was really what we expected . Short walk to town . However fortunately the holiday flat above didn't have children only a couple or we think we would have been disturbed more . Shame not a lot of privacy around the out door table area. Comfy bed but not the seating in lounge . But overall it was fine.
- Sally, September 2019 -
Stephen “Just a fantastic all round holiday.”
Lovely weather, lovely location and the mushroom house was so comfortable and convenient.
- Stephen, July 2019 -
Kevin “Excellent location with parking”
- Kevin, July 2019 -
Jackie “We had a lovely time staying at The Mushroom House.”
The location was perfect, it was just a short walk to the beach. The house was lovely and clean and well thought out. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. The owner was very accommodating and let us park our car early. I would advise reading the owner's directions on getting to the property as not all the streets seem to have signs. However we found the house easily with the directions given. I hope to visit Tenby again in the future and would certainly stay in The Mushroom House again.
- Jackie, July 2019 -
Graham “Ideal location.”
Near town where parking is extremely limited so free parking outside is great. Owner extremely friendly and very helpful. Would recommend and will revisit. Great apartment as a couple with loads of leaflets of things to do. Our first trip to Tenby did not disappoint. Plenty to do not only on town and immediate surrounding area. Plenty of places to visit nearby too.
- Graham, June 2019 -
Paula “Mushroom House was just what we were looking for in a holiday home.”
Three minute walk from the North beach. Lovely comfortable holiday home.
- Paula, March 2019 -
Lara “We loved this weekend break away in Tenby at Mushroom House!”
It had great facilities and an ideal location to explore Tenby some more. The owner had great communication and was there if we had any questions. Great parking too! Would recommend this cottage to everyone and glad we chose it as we had such a fab trip. Neighbours upstairs weren’t too noisy either
- Lara, March 2019 -
Derek “The Mushroom House flat was excellent.”
Well situated, easy parking, quiet, clean and well equiped.
- Derek, December 2018 -
Patrick “The flat is just as described.”
Good facilities and a fairly short distance from the centre and beach. We would recommend though Tenby is quite hilly.
- Patrick, September 2018 -
Leigh “Excellent clean apartment, great location.”
Would certainly stay again.
- Leigh, August 2018 -
Jan “This is advertised as with a garden there is only a decked area at the front which is right on the street so no privacy.”
No sound proofing from upstairs could here children running around from the crack of dawn and conversation when the door was open very noisy spoilt the holiday Poor communication from owner I no there was no washing machine but would be better to have one than a dishwasher which is not necessary for 2 people
- Jan, July 2018 -
Brian “Only 2 items let it down, tea towel needs renewing & a hand towel in kitchen would be very welcome”
- Brian, July 2018 -
Amy “The apartment was really well situated, just a short walk to the beach and town, and had all the facilities we needed.”
The only down side was the lack of sound proofing with the apartment above. We heard most of our neighbours' movements and so it wasn't as peaceful as we had hoped.
- Amy, May 2018 -
Malcolm “The property was excellent and just what we wanted very modern and well fitted out.”
The owner was most attentative. Situated in the ecentre of Tenby a short walk from the beach and the main shoppimg area. There are three supermarkets Sainsburys, CO-OP and Tesco plus numerous other shops. Good bus service to all parts of Pembrokeshire. The icing on the cake was the car parking space in front of the property. Parking in Tenby not good.
- Malcolm, May 2018 -
Derek “An excellent property.”
Well situated, clean and great facilities.
- Derek, December 2017 -
Kenneth “The property listing states that wifi is available but we were not able to get any internet connection at any time, that is the only thing that lets the information on property down.”
- Kenneth, September 2017 -
Jeremy “Second time we have stayed here.”
Perfect for us . Will be booking for next year.
- Jeremy, June 2017 -
Shelagh “Unfortunately there wasn't any sound proofing between the two flats so we could hear every footstep and conversation of the people in the flat above.”
There was not any information in the flat about basic things such as where to put the rubbish or more general nearest doctors, hospital etc.
- Shelagh, September 2016 -
Tracey “The apartment was lovely, very clean and well equipped with parking right outside and located in a quiet cul-de-sac.”
Only a short 5-10 min walk/stroll to the beach and town centre. Would like to have seen some information/leaflets about the area as we've never been before and had to ask people whilst out, how to get to the beach, the town, taxi numbers etc. All in all had a lovely stay here apart from our last night when guests arrived in the upper apartment, although they were quiet, their footsteps were very loud and very annoying and for that reason only I wouldn't book again, which is a shame really.
- Tracey, September 2016 -
Andrea “Would have appreciated a folder in the property containing info about the property and the local area - we have always had this in other cottage properties we have rented in the past and found it strange that there was nothing in this property.”
There was no visitors book either in which to leave comments on the holiday and recommendations for future guests - again this is something we have always had in other properties and it is very useful to read previous visitors comments and recommendations re places to visit, restaurants etc. 2 minor items but they would have made a difference for us. We did find a lot of tourist info leaflets in a drawer but many of these were out of date or duplicated. Having said this we found the apartment to be very comfortable and in a great location, close to the town and harbour area. The private parking area was also appreciated. We would definitely stay here again if coming back to Tenby and have already recommended it to friends, family and colleagues.
- Andrea, September 2016 -
Frances “We were very happy with the holiday nothing was wrong at all.”
Very enjoyable apartment and contents.
- Frances, June 2016 -
Jeremy “Very nice accommodation in a quiet close.”
Handy for beach and town. We would definitely return.
- Jeremy, May 2016 -
Derek “The property was in an excellent position, being near the town, beach and all facilities.”
It was comfortable, cosy and quiet. The general cleanliness and facilities were excellent. Great value for money. We'll be back!
- Derek, December 2015 -
Lynda “The apartment was warm, bright and contemporary.”
It was well equipped and the real bonus was being so close to Tenby centre and the sea, but still being in a quiet residential area. The surroundings were quiet and pleasant. It was useful being able to park in a private secluded parking area right outside the apartment. Overall we were very happy and would stay there again.
- Lynda, April 2015 -
Julia “A lovely short break and very good weather for December.”
Very impressed with the accommodation, would definitely stay here again.
- Julia, December 2014 -
Elaine “Great to have a 3 night stay and not one week hire as some other properties.”
Will certainly book again for another mini break out of season.
- Elaine, November 2014 -

We thoroughly enjoyed a very relaxing holiday. The accommodation was very comfortable.

T “The overall look of the accommodation was very good.”
Tenby is a very nice place to visit.
- T, April 2014 -
Mr Jordan “This south facing apartment is very light, comfortable and roomy for two.”
There is ample parking space, which otherwise can be difficult in this old part of town. The owner was extremely helpful. The location is only a minute or two's walk from beautiful beaches, from wonderful coastal scenery and from the very centre of the lovely old town of Tenby, which has some unique shops and great pubs and restaurants; including one of the best in Wales for fish and chips.
- Mr Jordan, December 2013 -
Lowenna “A lovely place to stay, in a lovely community.”
Excellent.

Mr Crank “Great to be able to walk to the beach and walk the coastal paths.”
Very convenient.
- Mr Crank, May 2012 -
Evelyn “The accommodation was as described on the website with very good access to all amenities.”
The property was ideal for what was required with good storage space and access to 'home comforts'. Parking right outside the property was a bonus and good access from the roads. The owner was extremely helpful and friendly. Tenby is a lovely area for a slow paced relaxing holiday. Lots of information was available within the property of local restaurants and places to visit. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday.
- Evelyn, April 2012 -

We enjoyed visiting along the coast too.
- Tom, March 2012 -
Fraser “The cottage was ideally situated within Tenby with the shops, pubs and beaches all within walking distance which was a real bonus as parking is at a premium.”
There are plenty of good walks and golf courses in the vicinity. The pub grub in Tenby is excellent in quality and value for money.
- Fraser, September 2011 -

About the location
TENBY
Pembroke 11 miles; Carmarthen 26 miles.
The bustling seaside resort of Tenby, known within Wales as “The Jewel in the Crown", is majestically positioned on the spectacularly beautiful 'Welsh Riviera'. Tenby is part of the stunning 186 mile Pembrokeshire Coast National Park where the water is warmed by the Gulf Stream and the county is one of the sunniest places in the UK. Enclosed by medieval walls, this beautiful town features a maze of cobbled streets, hosting an array of quirky shops, indoor locally-sourced food market, tea rooms and tempting restaurants. Almost three miles of stunning, Blue Flag-awarded beaches provide a variety of watersports, whilst walkers and cyclists can enjoy the local flora and fauna on the coastal paths, something the competitors of the world-renowned Tenby Iron-Man contest (held in mid-September) haven’t time for! A boat trip to Caldey Island is recommended to enjoy the beauty and tranquillity of the monastery and island scenery, and you can enjoy seal and puffin sightings en-route! Explore the magnificent Tudor Merchant's House, or visit the nearby resorts of Saundersfoot or Manobier. For teens and younger visitors, Oakwood Theme Park provides a brilliant, fun-filled day out whilst Folly Farm offers everything from old-fashioned fairground rides to animals both local and exotic! The perfect location for an enjoyable and varied holiday.
