Martin’s Haven is a lovely little cove, tucked away on Pembrokeshire’s south-western peninsula. It’s a great place to sit and make the most of the gorgeous sea views that stretch before it.
This quiet pebble beach is used as a jetty for the Skomer Island boats and is a steep walk down from the car park above. It’s also a popular location with divers, who make their way over to the Skomer Marine Nature Reserve from the cove.

Martin’s Haven
Martin’s Haven Beach is a small pebble beach and the point of departure for boats to Skomer Island. The beach is popular with scuba divers and hikers, with several walks along the cliffs above the beach and views across St. Bride’s Bay.
Keep your eyes out for grey seals which can be seen relaxing on the nearby rocks.

This tiny little cove and one of Pembrokeshire’s popular beaches is situated on Pembrokeshire’s most south-westerly peninsula. Boat’s leave for Skomer Island at regular intervals during the summer season, please check times here.

Facilities at Martin’s Haven
Just above the cove is the Lockley Lodge Visitor Centre which the Wildlife Trust of South West Wales run. The centre has all the information you will ever need about Skomer Island.
Other interesting things at Martin’s Haven include the Coast Guard Hut situated high up on the headland above the cove – take the Pembrokeshire Coast Path west to discover it and continue on to reach Deadman’s Bay for some dramatic jagged rock formations. On a wild day, watching the waves crash into this small inlet you can imagine how this bay got its name.
