Situated in the Brecon Beacons National Park some 15 miles form Brecon. The longest cave system here is about 11 miles long, although only some half a mile of 'Dan yr Ogof' cave is accessible to the general public.

There are two other caves, bone cave - where the remains of Bronze Age humans have been discovered and Cathedral Cave which contains ancient cave paintings and a huge dome chamber with 40 feet high waterfalls.

Other attractions at the caves are a reconstructed Ironage farmstead, a dinosaur park, museum and shire horse centre. There is also a cafe which serves a variety of meals and drinks.
