Gwennol Cottage is one of three beautiful converted barns at Golden Grove in Carmarthenshire enjoying an idyllic and peaceful location on a hillside with stunning views over the valley and countryside beyond.

Golden Grove village is about 1 mile from the cottages and Llandeilo is about three and a half miles. Situated in the heart of the Towy Valley, Llandeilo has an interesting selection of individual shops, galleries and eateries.

Carmarthenshire is known as the Garden of Wales and the National Botanic Garden of Wales and Aberglasney (a garden lost in time) are just over 2 miles away. There is superb fishing in the area too with the river Towy providing excellent Salmon and Sewin (sea trout) fishing, whilst for those more active the cottages are located between several excellent mountain bike trails. You can also enjoy a fabulous woodland walk straight from the front door or explore one of the many castles in the area.

For nature lovers, the area abounds with wildlife, with red kites, owls, badgers and deer regularly seen from the barns. The Gower Peninsular has some wonderful beaches with great surfing, including Three Cliffs Bay which is less than 25 miles away. The Black Mountain and Brecon Beacons National Park (which is visible from the gardens) make an excellent day trip.

The owners keep rare breeds sheep on the surrounding farmland.
