Equally suitable for families who simply wish to relax in a remote and stunning setting, with large gardens and nearby forestry to explore.
The property has lots of character, reflecting the fact that it has been a well-loved home from home for many years.
It is furnished in a traditional style and sleeps up to eight.
Within walking distance the nearby hills afford superb panaromic views of Brecon Beacons and Snowdonia National Park. Local sites of interest are the gold mines (seasonal opening) at Dolaucothi dating back to Roman times, and Llyn Brianne reservoir near Tregaron.
Lampeter is about 4 miles away, and the attractive coastal towns of Aberaeron and New Quay just over half an hour's drive. The Fishers Arms is an excellent pub in Cellan, on the way to Lampeter.
Entrance is into the lobby with space for hanging coats and leaving walking boots.
The next room is the DINING ROOM/SNUG which has a large farmhouse dining table, pew seat, chairs and Welsh dresser. There is a snug with a wood burning stove and comfy seating.
A door leads from the dining area to the small bistro kitchen which has farmhouse cupboards with open shelving above, electric cooker, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and microwave.
The SITTING ROOM is set over two levels with the upper one having a woodburning stove, sideboard and 2 comfy fireside chairs, steps lead to the lower main sitting area which has two large sofas, an armchair a corner cupboard containing TV, DVD, music system with iPod dock wire. There is a coffee table, cupboard with children's toys and a door to the rear patio area.
There is a downstairs SHOWER ROOM with a suite of shower cubicle, WC and hand basin.
Stairs lead from the Dining room to the first floor where there are two bedrooms.
BEDROOM 1 has a double bed, bedside tables, wardrobe and a chest with mirror.
BEDROOM 2 has two sets of 2'6" bunk beds a small clothes cupboard, chest with mirror.
The SHOWER ROOM has a suite shower, WC and hand basin.
Accessed from the external staircase is the ANNEXE which has sloped ceilings and is furnished with a double bed, bedside tables, chest and a wardrobe space.
The EN-SUITE SHOWER ROOM has a shower, WC and hand basin.
There is a large open plan natural garden area over two small fields with dry stone walling, mature trees and shrubs, a stream, campfire area with plank seating and a picnic bench.
It is not a manicured area and will provide hours of enjoyment for adventurous children but please be aware that there may be some areas which are not safe so do not leave young children unattended.
Parking for 4 cars.
Oil central heating throughout - this is included in the rental from May to September and charged for at a flat rate of £35 a week at all other times (please pay when booking). A basket of logs is provided for the fire, more are available locally.
No baby equipment available, please bring your own.
