This pretty stone holiday cottage, originally a Pembrokeshire Longhouse, is just outside Caerfarchell - a peaceful hamlet just two miles from Solva and 3 from St Davids in the Pembrokeshire National Park. Enjoying a very peaceful location at the end of a farm track with two other cottages, you can be sure of a relaxing and restful holiday here.
The coastal path is easy to access at Solva where you will also find a selection of good eateries, galleries, pubs and the gorgeous harbour.
St Davids is Britain's smallest city and the cathedral is well worth a visit as are the many individual shops, artists, galleries and delicatessens.
Whitesands beach and Newgale beach are within 5 miles and offer lovely walking, bathing, surfing and birdwatching.
The coastal path offers miles of stunning walks to Abereiddi, Porthgain, Strumble Head and Newgale to name but a few.
Entrance is into a quaint PORCH where you can sitand leave your coats / walking boots.
An internal wooden door leads through to the large, airy open plan KITCHEN and SITTING ROOM which has a high A-frame ceiling, Velux Skylights and exposed beams.
The cosy SITTING AREA has a woodburning stove in an attractive arched stone fireplace, comfortable leather sofa, two matching armchairs and a cottage wing chair, coffee table, ample lighting, Hi fi unit and TV with DVD player.
The KITCHEN has a window with open views over the countryside with a good range of fitted units, electric oven and hob, microwave oven, integral fridge, dishwasher.
The DINING / BREAKFAST ROOM is off an inner hall at the rear of the cottage and has a pine dining table with 6 chairs; it also contains the central heating boiler, washing machine / dryer and freezer. A stable door leads outside to a grassed area.
There are three bedrooms; two on the ground floor and one twin Galleried bedroom accessed via a spiral staircase to the first floor.
BEDROOM 1 is very spacious and has a beamed ceiling and country view window; it is furnished with a double bed, antique pine chest of drawers and dressing table, wardrobe, bedside lamp, Ipod docking station with clock alarm and a pine rocking chair.
BEDROOM 2 has a double pine bed, bedside table, antique dressing table, wardrobe and Velux skylight window with blackout blinds.
The spacious FAMILY BATHROOM has a suite of bath, large shower cubicle with power shower, WC, hand basin, tall towel radiator, shaving point, extracter fan and Velux Skylight window.
There is also a separate WC.
Off the kitchen, a spiral staircase leads to a GALLERY BEDROOM with sloped open beam ceilings. It is furnished with twin beds, pine chest of drawers, bedside lamp, Velux Skylight window with black out blinds, wicker seat and there is a hanging rail for clothes.
There is a lawned area to the fore with a wall and wooden gates.
There are 3 parking spaces on the gravel drive.
To the rear is a large area of grass where ball games can be played.
There is also a lockable SHED to the rear where you can store bikes etc.
There is parking space for a boat and 2 cars at the rear.
Garden furniture is provided.
The crog loft is only suitable for children as there is limited headroom.
There is oil central heating throughout the property, this is included in the rental from May to September and charged at a flat rate of £35 at all other times - payable when booking. Logs can be provided and more can be purchased locally.
No baby equipment is provided; you are welcome to bring your own.
Towels may be hired at £5 per guest.
WiFi Enabled - 1GB free, more can be purchased.
