Enjoying a peaceful location in the heart of the Preseli Hills close to the villages of Mynachlogddu and Llangolman, this unusual and quirky farmhouse offers guests the opportunity to experience another way of life.
There is a nature reserve and a stream with water wheel on the small holding. The Preseli Hills and the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path offer superb walking. Newport, Cardigan, Saundersfoot, Narberth and Haverfordwest are all within a 30 minute drive.
The house has many ecologically sound, arty, quirky and interesting features throughout such as stained glass, handmade doors and windows.
Entrance is into the SCULLERY/BOOT ROOM where there is a sink, dishwasher, storage cupboards and space for coats and wellies.
There is a WET ROOM off with shower, WC, hand basin and the washing machine.
A door leads through to the KITCHEN/DINING ROOM with a large range cooker (gas hob and electric oven), pantry cupboard, large fridge/freezer, microwave oven, extending oak dining table with pew seat and chairs.
The back garden is accessed via a storage room leading off from the back door (to which the owner might need occasional access).
The SITTING ROOM is very spacious and has an unusual arched fireplace with a woodburning stove at one end and an ornamental fireplace at the other.
There are two sitting areas with 3 sofas and an armchair, coffee table, side table, TV and DVD player and music system.
A wooden staircase leads to the 4 bedrooms which all have wooden floors.
BEDROOM 1 & BEDROOM 2 are furnished with 2 zip'n'link 3' beds which can make a 6' super king on request.
BEDROOM 3 has twin beds and BEDROOM 4 has bunk beds.
There is a futon and a Z-bed for occasional use.
(There are 10 single beds if you need them).
Each bedroom has hand painted bedroom furniture, reading lamps, mirror and hooks on the door.
There is a large shared wardrobe on the landing.
The FAMILY BATHROOM has a suite of bath with electric shower over, WC and hand basin.
There is a small patio area to the front of the house where you with lovely views towards the Preseli hills.
The patio has a bench and a tiny pond.
To the rear of the house, steps lead up to the private enclosed lawn area which is bordered by the mill stream and mature trees.
There is hand-crafted coppiced wood furniture and a fire pit making this a great place for families and friends to relax.
You are welcome to roam over some 10 acres of land which includes the river front. The river is not too deep so great for kids to play in. Occasionally at hay-making time and lambing we may request that you do not use certain areas.
Parking is in a shared area on the farmyard.
There is oil central heating throughout, this is included from May to September and charged at a flat rate of £40 per week at all other times. Pay at property please.
Beds will be made up with fresh linen for your arrival.
Towels can be hired at £5 per guest.
2 Pets are welcome, dogs must be on a lead at all times in areas where sheep are grazing and kept under control around other guests.
A cot, highchair and stairgate are available.
