Borth is a lovely seaside town about 7 miles north of Aberystwyth and part of the all Wales coastal path.
This delightful white-washed cottage with a contemporary extension is set down a quiet lane off the High Street in a lovely position with views of the hills and access to the 3 mile beach within a few (59) steps.
The area is part of the Dyfi National Nature reserve at very low tide the remains of an ancient petrified forest can be seen on the beach.
Nearby is Ynyslas and beyond Ynyshir where you can see resident Ospreys.
Aberystwyth, Machynlleth, Aberdovey and Tywyn are all within an hours drive and are great places to visit and spend a day.
Within walking distance of the cottage: Borth beach, restaurants, pubs, shops and galleries.
Entrance is through the stable door into a small hallway and straight in to the large, light and airy SITTING ROOM with a high A frame ceiling, exposed stone fireplace, woodburning stove and seagrass flooring.
The room is furnished with 2 leather sofas, TV, Amazon firestick, occasional tables and a selection of books and games.
A passage leads to the KITCHEN/DINING ROOM in the contemporary cedar wood clad extension and has one glass "wall" with doors leading to the enclosed decked area with views of the hills beyond.
The kitchen area is equipped with fully fitted white gloss units incorporating ample storage, fan oven, hob, dishwasher, microwave, tall fridge/freezer and washing machine.
The dining area has a dining table and 5 chairs.
Weather permitting; you can fold the glass doors back to open onto the decking where there is a picnic bench for al-fresco dining.
There are 2 bedrooms off the sitting room.
BEDROOM 1 has a double bed, bedside cupboards with lamps, wardrobe and space for a cot.
BEDROOM 2 has twin beds, bedside cupboard with lamp and a wardrobe.
The BATHROOM has a modern white suite of bath with shower over, WC and hand basin and electric radiator.
The lovely enclosed decked area to the rear of the cottage makes a great place for al-fresco dining, relaxing and enjoying the views of the hills.
Parking is on the high street or a nearby car park.
Heating is by modern electric panel radiators and under floor heating as well as the woodburning stove. A complimentary basket of logs is provided and more can be purchased locally. Electricity is included in the rental from May to September and charged for at a flat rate of £35 per week at all other times, please pay when booking.
All the beds will be made up with fresh linen for your arrival and towels are included.
Please bring your own beach towels.
A travel cot, highchair and stair/door gate are provided.
One small well behaved and short haired dog welcome. Please let us know the breed.
A security/damage deposit of £100 will be added to your booking. If all is well on departure this will be returned within 5 working days of the end of your holiday.
