Overlooking the beach at Freshwater East in Pembrokeshire, this delightful detached timber clad beach house accommodation makes a very relaxing holiday destination. The views are stunning and the location second to none.
There are numerous coves and bays to explore; Swanlake Bay and Manorbier beach just a little farther along the Coastal Path.
Tenby and Saundersfoot are a short drive away.
You may not want to leave the house at all during your holiday but, if you did, there is a pub just 5 minutes walk up the path, which serves good food.
A grass path leads from the parking area to the cottage and as you walk the view opens up and you will see just what a spectacular location this is.
At the front of the house is a large wooden verandah, which affords uninterrupted views of the beautiful sandy beach, sand dunes and the sea, with imposing rocky headlands in both directions. On a clear day, Lundy Island is visible on the horizon. It is just a five-minute walk down an unmade grassy path (10 mins back) to the beach and coastal path.
The property is double-glazed and is simply furnished throughout, befitting such a beach cottage.
From the verandah, the front door opens onto an L shaped open-plan KITCHEN/DINING/LIVING space with glorious views.
The KITCHEN area has a range of cupboards, electric cooker, dishwasher, larder fridge, microwave oven, dishwasher, automatic washing machine, and a second fridge with a small freezer compartment.
There is a large refectory style scrubbed oak dining table with 6 chairs in the DINING AREA while in the:
LIVING AREA there is a comfortable sofa, 3 easy chairs, a solid fuel stove (with a fan heater for Summer use), TV, DVD, Bose iPod dock, books and games.
There are three bedrooms:
BEDROOM 1 enjoys the stunning views of the bay and has a kingsize bed, cupboards with hanging space, shelves, chest of drawers.
BEDROOM 2 has twin beds and a chest of drawers.
BEDROOM 3 has bunk beds and a chest of drawers. There are oil filled radiators in all the bedrooms. Bedlinen is provided for all the beds.
The SHOWER ROOM has a walk-in electric shower, WC and wash hand basin.
In the private garden, there is a picnic table. A path leads out of the garden down through the dunes to the beach and meets the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path.
Parking is nearby in a grassy clearing, with a short grassy walk (50 metres) to the property.
Heating and electricity are included.
One complimentary basket of logs is included and more can be purchased locally.
A travel cot is available, sorry no highchair.
There is also a telephone in the property with an honesty box.
Towels are available on request - £5 per guest.
Up to two well-behaved pets are welcome.
