This welcoming cottage in the Pembrokeshire National Park is less than a mile from Newport Sands; perfect for walking, swimming and rock pooling, The cottage enjoys lovely views over to Carningli Mountain and is less than 2 miles from Newport, which is well known for its excellent galleries and suprising range of good eateries and pubs. The town also has a good selection of individual shops including a butcher, baker, fishmonger, wholefood store, antique shop, chemist and post office. On most Mondays there is a lively and colourful street market selling fresh local produce.
The Pembrokeshire coastal path is nearby and the Poppit Rocket coastal walkers' bus can be flagged down just outside the cottage gate enabling you to walk a different stretch each day. Newport Sands 18 hole links golf course is just down the road.
The cottage is furnished with interesting art and antiques.
Entrance is into the outer porch and through to the SITTING & DINING ROOM which has exposed stone and whitewashed walls and is packed full of character.
There is a large inglenook fireplace where you can enjoy a real log fire (woodburning stove coming soon!).
The DINING AREA is under the gallery area so feels cosy, it is furnished with an antique dining table and 6 chairs, pine dresser and occasional furniture.
The SITTING AREA has exposed beams, comfy sofa and armchairs and an antique rocking chair, colour TV, DVD player portable CD/Hi Fi and occasional furniture.
There is a galleried area with an artisan staircase, which for safety purposes is not accessible, but makes a lovely feature to the room.
The KITCHEN is well-equipped with a range of light oak fitted units, large pine dresser with plenty of storage space, breakfast table and chairs, electric cooker, microwave oven and dishwasher.
The UTILITY ROOM has a fridge/freezer, automatic washing machine and tumble drier.
There are three cosy cottage bedrooms:
BEDROOM 1 has a double aspect and painted stone wall, it is furnished with a king size bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers, bedside tables and an armchair.
BEDROOM 2 has twin beds, cupboard and bedside table.
BEDROOM 3 has a single bed, dressing table, chest of drawers, built - in wardrobe and bedside table.
All beds are made up with fresh linen for your arrival.
The BATHROOM has a bath with electric shower over and a hand basin. The WC is adjacent.
There is a lovely large lawned garden and patio area to the rear with garden furniture. Mature trees and shrubs surround the lawn and it is enclosed but not totally dog proof.
The front garden has attractive borders and beds and a large gravel drive providing plenty of off road parking. Double gates lead to the single track coastal road.
There is full oil fired central heating throughout the property. This is included from May to September and charged for at a flat rate of £35 per week. Paid at time of booking. Electicity is included in the rental. A complimentary basket of logs is provided.
A travel cot and highchair are available.
Towels are included in the rental.
A welcome basket is provided for your arrival.
