New Quay is famous for its resident dolphins which are regularly spotted throughout the year.
You can take boat trips from the quay out into Cardigan Bay. The town offers a good selection of pubs, eateries and shops befitting a seaside town. Dylan Thomas is reputed to have based some of his characters for Under Milk Wood on locals and the town is proud of its Maritime Heritage.
Small boats can be launched from Dolau beach but those thinking of bringing a larger boat need to check with the Harbourmaster's Office.
The cottage has reversed accommodation to make the most of the sea views.
Entrance is into a small hallway and upstairs to the main living area.
The spacious SITTING ROOM has a vaulted ceiling, triple aspect sea views, wooden floorboards and an ornamental woodburning stove.
It is furnished with two comfy sofas, 2 bucket chairs, chest of drawers, colour TV, DVD player and occasional tables.
A step leads to the half landing with family bathroom and up a further five steps to the kitchen/dining room.
The KITCHEN is fitted with a comprehensive range of fitted units incorporating a large electric range with hob, griddle and 2 ovens. There is also a dishwasher, microwave oven, washing machine, tumble drier, 2 fridges and freezer, 1 bucket chair and a round dining table with chairs.
Step down into the spacious FAMILY BATHROOM has a suite of bath with overhead shower, WC and wash hand basin.
The 3 bedrooms are downstairs.
BEDROOM 1 has a sea view and is furnished with a super-king size bed (can be made into 2 singles if required), hanging space, bedside tables and lamps.
BEDROOM 2 has original cast iron fireplace, double bed, bedside tables with lamps and wardrobe.
Steps to BEDROOM 3 has a single bed, bedside table, bucket chair plus fitted cupboard and large storage drawer, vanity unit over basin and cupboard.
There is an adjacent en suite SHOWER ROOM with shower cubicle, WC and wash hand basin.
Egyptian cotton bed linen and towels (not for beach use) are included in the rental.
A door from the kitchen leads to the large decked area which has a sea view and is an ideal place for al fresco dining or an evening drink; it has a table, chairs, umbrella and barbecue.
There is parking for one car in the car port beside the cottage and more in the adjoining car park.
Electric storage heaters, heating is inclusive.
No baby equipment available, this property is not really suitable for young children or disabled guests as there are lots of internal steps.
No smoking in the cottage.
Towels are included in the rental.
